This game looks amazingly, ridiculously fun....


Us 360 owners get a demo, can't wait to try it out. Never played the first game but any PC buddies I have have told me it was fantastic.

Thoughts on the trailer? Could we finally have a COD beater in the pipeline?

It probably won't beat CoD, and I have NO IDEA how the hell it's gonna run on consoles, hell most PC's without frying them.
It does look really good, and hopefully the multiplayer will be more fun than the original.

And I like the action slide and free-running elements.

Hell, if it plays as well as this trailer shows, it should be awesome.

This actually does look amazing. However, balancing looks like it may be an issue. Plus awesome graphics = lag. Fingers crossed though, if this works... it will WORK.

Atleast in Crysis and Crysis warhead the invisible was really nerfed so it was quite easy to spot somebody even on long range

But in all seriousness, it just looks like another shooter that'll be ignoring single player with the aim of beating CoD, which is a goal that it may succeed in for a week or so, and them miserably fail.

I want to believe it'll be great. I really do, but I just can't shake the feeling that its Call of Duty with sliding and nanosuits. I really hope I'm proved wrong.

Plus I'm incredibly torn on this. My brain keeps saying I will be disappointing, and my heart keeps pointing out that the multiplayer is being made by Free Radical(sure, they're Crytek UK now, but to me they are, and always will be, Free Radical):

God fucking dammit, why don't us PC players get a demo. I soooo wanna play this and I loved the first game. This and Bulletstorm are the only two shooters I care about and they both look like they have awesome single and multiplayer.

Already got my copy pre-ordered, wish it would come sooner, oh well got D012 to preoccupy me till then.

Well if the cloaks are like anything in the first game, it's similar to Halos cloak. You get the slight visual distortion (heat shimmer), and the person still casts a shadow. Also when you are near by a cloaked person, you will hear a static like sound which gives you a bit of warning. Great thing about cloak is how long it lasted depends on you activity. Sit still, and it drains super super slow (so great for snipers), but if you move around a lot the cloak will drain quicker. Speed of cloak drain proportional to players movement.
