Dude, Crysis multiplayer didn't even play anything like CoD. And it had a TON of great mods.
That was Crysis 1. This is Crysis 2.

Crysis 1 had 32 players and played like a cross between Battlefield and Counter Strike.

Crysis 2 looks much smaller(I think there's a maximum of 12 people a game, not too sure though), and looks like Call of Duty but with a nanosuit. And sliding.

The multiplayer is from Cryteck UK (Free Radical) so I hope that it ends up as a success.

Just saw it, very impressed. I will be rocking out that speed ability a lot.

Played the single-player on PC at Eurogamer, was fun. I'll get this on Xbox though, gonna try out that demo.

I guarantee it won't be limited to twelve people per game on PC. There were and still are servers that allow a lot more than the typical maximum for Crysis 1.

Besides, this is being developed by the same people as Crysis 1 for the most part. Even better that they got the TimeSplitters team for the multiplayer. I highly doubt that it will bear much resemblance at all to CoD. We already know, as you mentioned, that it has the nanosuit and free running, two fairly impactful elements which CoD does not have.
We'll see. I remain unconvinced though. The free-running doesn't do much for me considering BRINK seems to be doing it much better. And the nano-suit sounds cool, but honestly, it won't matter much considering the core gameplay looks a lot like call of duty.

I really, really hope I'm proved wrong.

That looks really fun. Probably would get it for the PS3 though, since my PC probably won't be able to run it very well.

All I remember from the Crysis multiplayer was that it was fucking awful, hardly anyone played, and had hardly any game modes (one of which was impossible to understand).

Smaller doesn't instantly equal worse, and Crysis' multiplayer was nowhere near as good as Battlefield - I don't get the CS reference, unless you just mean buying weapons.

Looks like CoD????

Looks like every FPS in the last decade! It's kind of ingrained in the genre. And, it would be more like Halo than Cod anyway with the suits that have energy that can be used for armour and will regenerate over time.

It does actually look pretty fun, but I'm sick of EA and their scripted multiplayer trailers. I just want it to have pace and be fluid, I'm fucking sick of FPS's being so slow, and promoting and rewarding players who play like boring cunts. Also, knowing the Xbox community, it'll be played by them "snipers r pr0" people, who have yet to realise aim assist does the majority of the work, and that they're playing a game.

Maybe I'll just pick it up for PC, at least there will be mods.

I'm quite intrigued whether or not my PC will run it. We'll see about that!

But yeah, that trailer was awesome. It was action-packed and cool and violent, and I'll be praying the multiplayer will actually be like that. Sometimes trailers get a bit exaggerating.

But still, dammit... I want it to be a good game. But that's what i want all games to be.
Ah, only time will show.

Here's that I thought.

I saw really nothing to new and spectacular, though that was probably one of the best choreographed trailers I've seen.

Yeah, basically. I admit it wasn't that great, but I still found it rather interesting. At least it was different. And I don't have a problem with it being small, I have a problem with it being like call of duty. Because while I find it decently fun, I'd still rather have games do their own thing. Instead of following this formula: "Like "x game" but with "x shtick".

By the looks of things, it doesn't seem like the suit offers much protection from bullets. Seeing as how most die from a few shots, except the guy using the armor upgrade.

The "armour upgrade" is a standard suit mode.

See, now thats the kind of thing I'd like to know before I get all rant-y. So I don't make my self look like more of an ass then I really am.

I don't get why everyones saying this is like Call of Duty. As if COD was the ONLY FPS out there? Shit there were other FPS games out there before COD. It's not like you can hugely modify an FPS beyond point and shoot.
