Yay, My computer is already Beastly, Good to know I don't need a beast to run Crysis 2.
To be fair though I could not run ultra at over 50 FPS and I can run Farcry 2 perfect.
Far Cry 2 does not use CryEngine . . . strange but true.

Did you forget about Far Cry? That game was pretty damn fun, if you ask me. I also enjoyed Crysis, but in order to really appreciate it you can't just play it the way you would play a standard shooter. You have to experiment. Try out some stealth. Go all melee. That's the whole point of the giant levels.
I actually did think Far Cry was a lot of fun, much more fun than Crysis.
As for playing the game differently, believe me, I've tried. You seem to be forgetting the hyper unrealistic AI, which can spot you from a mile away while you are prone behind dense foliage. Yeah, it's a great game to play stealth /me rolls eyes

Cant wait! my Intel I7 950,with 12 gb's of RAM and dual Radeon 5870's is very happy it might finally have a challenge...
What do you mean by challenge? They said that the game will require LESS of a computer, not more.

Your'e gonna have to settle for metro 2033 for your silly little "challenge" as a laptop will be able to run this game.

i mean that it might finally have a challenge by me running it on something like ultra high

Hah. On the day of release, I could play Crysis in Medium, in 800x600 BARELY. As in, lagging heavily. Even my older nephew's PC couldn't handle the game on maximum in 1280x1024 with a 8800GT.

They didn't downgrade the graphics, they just optimized the engine. Same thing that happened with Warhead, but on a bigger scale this time.
It is actually a new version of the engine. Crysis 1 is using Cryengine 2 and Crysis 2 will be using Cryengine 3
Yeah, that's what I meant. In Crysis 1, CryEngine 2 (after CryEngine from Far Cry... God, so much crying) was graphically awesome, but unrefined. In Warhead, they optimized it more. CryEngine 3 was created on the basis of CE2 - you can see it in how everything looks like in Crysis Warhead on highest details, but without being so demanding.

I will be really disappointed if Crysis 2 doesn't look better then Warhead :< And I really hope they add Dx11 features.

Really? I very rarely had that problem, even on Delta.

Except for helicopters. I remember them spotting me and firing at me even while underground in sewers. That was pretty awful.
