It's funny hearing all these story theories and everyone constantly forgetting the aliens and how the first game left off. While all these theories are good, I really can't see most of it happening as there is the whole predicament with freaking aliens waking up ready to turn earth into a giant ice ball.
your right, it is weird reading all these theories and not seeing one say anything about the aliens. And how in the end of the crysis the remnants of the original team head back into the bubble. You don't even know if Gen. Lee actually dies when he is taken by the aliens in the end.

I'm hoping that when they say the AI adapts ..that means if say your a player that uses the cloak more often then your cloak gets stronger in the game while the functions your don't use as much decrease.

Story-wise, I think we're going to at least find out what happened to Prophet. I always figured he knew more than he let on.

I just hope CryTek won't pull the dicks moves such as - immensly inflated system requirements and "The graphics cannot be set to Very High Mode unless you're using DirectX 11".

I never played Crysis beyond the demo, but something always bothered me. Early on you see the very mangled remains of one of your comrades who is still wearing (sort of) one of these suits. Then, he is completely disintegrated by remote control. None of your squad mates even blinks at this, the fact that your higher ups have the power to instantly murder you and leave no trace at the touch of a button. More troubling is that fact that they are more than happy to do this rather than let the suit fall into "the wrong hands."

They are elite troops working for an elite organization. IMHO this is exactly what would be expected of them.

While I'm here I'd also like to say that this costume design is really bland and unoriginal. Look at the suit, it's basically an anatomical drawing of major muscle groups and a pair of ski visors.
Bland and boring? not really, it's practical. Why does it need to be this flashy extravagant thing? It's something used buy the military and making it practical is the primary concern along with functionality. The suit looks fine and looks realistic and something thats feasible. I'd much prefer to play as someone wearing one of these than stupid looking 40K armor or the likes. This suit and Halo's are by far the best super suit designs made because they are simple, and functional/practical.
Because this is an over the top sci fi action game, that's why.
Crysis is not an over the top sci-fi game. Warhammer 40K is an over the top sci-fi game. Crysis tries to be fairly realistic. That's also the point of the nano-suit. It offers a plausible explanation for your superpowers and your ability to take on a whole army by yourself, instead of just making you a Duke Nukem type "bring-em on character".

Personally, I think the rogue AI discovers a plot by other Rogue AI to create rogue AI and infect power-armour wearing power-armour with a virus that turns them into zombies.

Also, it turns out your side is evil. But you were secretly being controlled by the enemy anyway, who were really a sub-faction of the good guys gone rogue hiring you out to mercenary AI's gone rogue: So, in the end, it turns out you have no fucking idea who you're working for or what you are so you just snap and kill everything you can see with a Chaingun Chaingun to be safe.

And then you are the Demons.
Are you ficken M Night Shyamalan?!?!

If not, can i hire you to write me a couple of books :D

So the first game shows us going back to the island to get Prophet, to defeat a seemingly imminent alien invasion and you think they're going to start a whole new and hideously clichéd plot?

Right, seems likely.

Nanosuit 2 will be used 4 years after crysis 1. So if this is for crysis 2 than story will go 4 years after the events of crysis.

Now hang on a second, didnt we leave Nomad head back to the island? Where would he get a new suit from? Or are they starting an entirely new story line?

Maybe the second game won't be mediocre boredom like the first one...

So instead being in a suit that can be instantly erased from the earth with you still in it by a single push of a button by a superior(or somebody who broke into HQ), you are now in a suit that can be instantly erased from the earth with you still in it by a single push of a button by a superior that you have to share with a vampire computer that controls your mind. Surely, there is absolutely nothing that can go wrong with this.

No it says the Nano 2 is released 4 years after the first suit, not the first game - the suits were already being used before the game.

EDIT: And it still doesn't make sense as the teaser shows the Island again, and some sort of city.

Maybe Nomad gets back off the Island and when you get back you get the new suit, something like that. Still, it wouldn't make sense to change the plot, especially as the aliens only appear closer to the end of the game (i.e. The basic plot is outlined by a start, middle and end across the 3 games, so you'd think they'd share the same plot).
