How many films/games/books are cult anymore? I can only think of three Pitch Black (not cult since The Chronicles of Riddick was released), Shaun of the Dead (not cult since Hot Fuzz) and Psychonauts (still cult)

A fair amount of the Kubrick films can still be considered cult. There are people who see his movies and people who think about his movies. The latter make up the cult following.

I have a compact little book that does its best to give a comprehensive list of cult authors/books. Very interesting - though it seems from reading the run-downs that a prerequisite for cult status is to be bloody depressing.

Cult fiction is anything that gathers a small, devoted group of fans.
In that case:

Doom
Doom 2
Doom 3
Quake 1
Quake 2
Quake 3: Arena
Quake 4
Battlezone
Battlezone 2 (v1.2)*
Battlezone 2 (v1.3)*
Dungeon Keeper...

I could go on, but I wont...

*These two are separate because of the massive turmoil between players of either "unofficial" patch, having mainly to do with 1.2 "vets" not liking that 1.3 takes out all the bugs these so-called "vets" enjoy to exploit, and 1.3 players hate that the extremist 1.2 players wont shut the hell up.
