That filter is different. The video distortion they went for is very in Back in 1995 is meant to mimic second and 3rd generation vhs copies and even watching tapes back in the day it hurt my eyes much as it does in the games footage here.SweetShark said:The same thing wanted the developer to try with the game "Back in 1995". The developer put filters which made the game look it is played in a old TV. It is really BAD for the eyes.ZombieProof said:That would detract from the "feel" they're going for though. There is a very specific timing used in the era of animation that they're going for. The film stock filters further enhances the age they want this game to resonate with in your head.Ezekiel said:Looks nice.
I'm hoping you can turn off that ugly, obscuring filter. I get what they're going for, but we clean up and remaster old films and animations for a reason.
That why is wise to be an options if you want special filters or not.
Very different from the film stock effect in cup head which doesn't hurt the eye at all. It's an effect what was in very cartoon back in that time and even movies, before they went totally digital had similar film stock.
Very different effects indeed. I do agree that there should be an option though.
