So, with all these sales going on I am constantly reminded just how broke I am and it pisses me off, like I was flipping through and saw the Indie Story Pack for $5 and it's normally like $55 and I want it so bad, but nay, I have no money.

Does steam make you suffer through similar disappointments?

Also: Wanna buy me video games? lol
Yes Steam sale, everyone's enjoying it but you. It's a real shame, which is why I'm offering to gift you the Indie Story Pack. Give me your email, and consider it done within minutes.

I'm waiting, but only for 30 mins.

I got Recettear for only $5! I'm so happy!
Oh, and I got some other stuff too. Can't wait for tomorrow; maybe they'll have Lara Croft on sale.

OT: Can you ask your parents for a loan or aught?

Get it, And Yet it Moves by itself makes the $5 deal worth it. The other games I haven't played, but I still stand by my first sentence.

Does anyone know anything about Jolly Roger & Puzzle agent?

Or Should I just be happy with the 3 games already mentioned in the thread for $5?

You don't have $5? Hmmmm...

OT: I don't really "need" any game at the moment. I'm just doing the whole sweepstakes thing for the hell of it.

$5? Damn, dude. How broke are you?

OT: I really, really want to play Gran Turismo 5, but I don't have a PS3. And I can't afford it at least until a few months.

But I'll wait - my patience shall be rewarded!
I got the collectors edition.
Its not as great as i was hoping. I woulda perfured to buy the new Need for Speed game.

Sadly, I can't buy your games.

Also, I honestly like steam for cutting off the market price of games that cost so much these days. It's a good change of pace.

5 dollars, I have to pay 5 Euro for it. Which is more, but it's just the price of a bread, or a cup of coffee.
You seriously mean you can't pay a cup of coffee for it? No trying to be rude, but it's almost nothing to be honest.
You pay 5 euros for a cup of coffee?! Where the fuck do you buy them?
OT: Thanks for the tip, buddy! *buys*

My problem is, I'm only 17 so I have to use someone elses bank account or Paypal. I was using my mums, but lately the banks been having issues, so I can't use that for a while until it's sorted out. Hopefully I'll be able to use my friends next week. And hopefully the sale stuff stays on sale all sale period, not just today. I also want that indie pack...
Oh, and Steam has disappointed me. The summer sales (back in winter for me) had the Star Wars pack, which is 13 games, for something like $50. But I couldn't afford it...

Wasn't as great - could you emphasize on that? If you played Forza 3, by any chance, could you compare the two?

I actually got NFS Hot Pursuit; it's an amazing game. What makes it good is that it is one of those games that literally gets your "heart racing"; you need to concentrate quite hard on each race. However, it won't last as long as GT5, obviously (about 18-20 hours of play compared to 100s from GT5).
It could be the fact that i played so many other racing games in between Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5, that GT5 just ended up feeling kinda dull. The menus are kinda annoying to navigate, and the load times are horribly annoying ((20+ seconds at the start of every race)). Its not a bad game, its just.... a racing simulator. And thats kinda the problem. They took "Simulator", and smothered everything with it.

Its a good game, and i probably will play it for a month or so longer, but, i probably will trade it in for something better before to long.

Damn you for being cheap?

If you're so broke you can't take advantage of a $5 deal on something you really want, it's time to start managing your budget or get a better job.
You sure love to kick someone when they're down doncha?

at any rate the only game I would play in that entire pack would be gish, which I have anyway.
Have you tried Recettear? It's surprisingly good, I played the demo when it first came out, it was pretty fun and had quite a bit of humor in it as well, you should check it out if you get the chance
What is this? Animal crossing with dungeons?
You run a store and sell stuff, you can negotiate the prices with people to try and rip them off and then you go to the dungeons to try and make more money and get a whole bunch of free items you can then sell and it's all about making a lot of money and paying off your loanshark(or so I gleaned from the demo) I know it looks kinda dumb, anime-ish and girly, but it's really quite fun.
Heh i read this as collect fruit and sell them so you can go get money to pay Nook for your mortgage
