Spoiler: Backstory

50 Years ago, a settler from Nolun Village was bestowed with ancient power. A group of ritualists released the seal on the tomb of an ancient evil. This evil was in the form of a creature known as The Dark Genie. The ritualists decided to use the Genie's power for their own evil desires, and harnessed his power to destroy the realm. Villages were ruined, cities had fallen, people were slaughtered. Nolun Village also fell victim to the attacks of the Dark Genie, and the town had been completely destroyed. One settler miraculously survived, and through patience and perseverance, he revived the realm and sealed the Dark Genie's momentous powers. This settler's legacy lives on, and the legend of Toan will be told for millennia, and he will be remembered as the hero of his time. 50 years since those catastrophic events have passed, and history has unfortunately repeated itself. The ritualists reformed to see their master's visions become reality, and the Dark Genie has been released once again. The village of Nolun looks to their hero's descendant to follow in his father's footsteps and save the world from apocalypse, but he is no hero. Being pressurised to defend the realm he is forced on a tasking adventure to seal the Genie for good. There is no hope for his success without his loyal friends.

Height: 5"8'

Appearance: Naara has long spikey hazel-brown hair, with big green eyes that charm even the coldest of girls. He has caucasian skin tone and has no growing facial hair. His face is spotless. He wears his father's poncho that was passed down to him and has a large hat with a feather tucked into the side. He is moderately skinny.

Bio: (For This character, that will be everything in the backstory, but for you, write your own.)

Weapon: 7th Heaven Sword, another gift from his father.

<spoiler=Character>Name: Saga Duncener *Everyone just calls her Dunce*

Age: 15

Height: 5"5'

Appearance: Saga has long orange-brown hair which she wears in bangs behind her ears and with hairpins. She has turqoise colored eyes. She wears a black/white bodysuit with red gloves, boots and scarf, and wears goggles in her hair.

Bio: Saga is a rather air headed and ditsy girl who rarely takes note of the bigger picture around her and is prone to throwing fits for the smallest of things. Saga grew up with Naara. At first she disliked Naara due to their conflicting personalities, but now she has grown to be very fond of him. Even so, she often looks down on Naara as inferior, which causes frequent arguments between the two. She can be petty and arrogant at times, but she shows real concern for her friends. She has stepped into harm's way more than a few times to help save Naara. Her almost idiotic personality frequently irritates her friend Naara.

Weapon: Chronicle Sword

Name: Damas

Age: 17

Appearance: Damas has medium length dirty blonde hair which is always messy. He wears a wolfshide jerkin and lightweight fabric trousers and comfortable boots. He is of a medium build but is more agile than he appears.

Bio: Damas is someone trying to discover his origins. He was discovered in the ruins of a burning building after his parents were murdered. Nomads took him in and he grew up as one of them. He is often serious, giving a much needed level-headedness to the group, but has a cheeky sense of humour that, if it doesn't annoy, makes people see him for what he is: a charmer. He can easily get a long with most, but is always worrying and judging others, although he can see the best in people. He doesn't know Saga and Naara that well, but feels compelled that following them may shed some light on what happened to his family.

Weapons: He is a jack of all trades in weapons after having grown up and learning how to hunt and fence. His preferred weapons are the swords of fire and water, 2 katanas which he can dual wield that were found beside him when he was discovered. He also has a natural affinity with lightning, being able to create sparks and shock people.

Age: 19

Height: 6"1'

Appearance: He is quite thin with pale skin, shoulder length spiked down light brown hair, he wears quite loose leather and cloth clothing with a worn cloth head band leather fingerless gauntlets and leather boots. His eyes were originally blue but one day he got a Mage to make them purple/black.

Bio: Thiel was born into quite a poor family that lived on a farm, when he wasn't doing work on the farm he would go into the woods behind them and train his speed while running and in the air while practising his own parkour. When Thiel grew up he spent the last of his money learning basic wind magic, after his course he spent most of his time adventuring training and doing small time theft.

Weapon: Two daggers infused with Thiels very own wind magic.

Age: 18

Height: 6"0'

Appearance: Rachel has brown shoulder length hair. Icy blue eyes. is quite slender. she wears a green sleaveless top, tight trousers as to not hinder her running, bracers on both arms, a quiver and a green cloak.

Bio: Was born somewhere else but moved to this village on her travels. Her village was attacked by marauders and sacked but she escaped. on her travels, she saved a mage from a mugging and in return he gave her an enchanted bow that enhances her natural skill for archery.

Weapon: Arch-mage Bow. made of the finest yew and enchanted with a couple of spells. She also has two daggers hidden in her bracers. She fletches her own arrows out of whatever trees and feathers she can find. her current ones are goose feather and oak.

Name: Stan

Age: 15

Height: 5'7

Appearance: Stan has Jet Black hair, it is messy, and unkempt, but not too long. He has brown eyes and fairly large eyebrows. He wears a green shirt and black hoodie. He wears shorts and Adidas shoes, he also wears a backward cap.

Bio: Stans dad was born in Australia, he moved to(whatever country) before Stan was born. Stan has never been to his fathers native country and has lived in Nolun his whole life. He has a very faint accent due to his parent homeschooling his elementary years. He has made friends with Saga and Naara at school.

Weapon: Boomerang of Justice was handed down by his father, it originally belong to Stans great grandfather

OMFreakingG! I remember this game! One of the first RPGs I actually liked! Wait one second....

Name: Ryaki

Age: 20

Height: 6'4"

Appearance: Ryaki has longish dirty blonde hair, with deep blue eyes and heavily tanned skin. He wears a grubby deep green t-shirt and a tattered pair of blue pants. He is fairly skinny.

Bio: Ryaki grew up a street urchin in Queens, never really knowing his true parents. He kept alive by getting handouts from the banana and bottled water stands in exchange for doing some chores. He had heard tales about what happened with the Dark Genie all those years ago from the old timers of Queens, but dismissed it, thinking it couldn't happen again. About two months ago, while scrounging around in the dump for anything useful, he came across a battered old lamp. Thinking he could get a quick buck or two, he tried polishing it up to see how good it was when he released a genie. Calling herself Amy G, she thanked Ryaki graciously for finally freeing her, giving him a golden ring, the gemstone in it glowing with all the colors of the rainbow. She said this ring possessed all the powers of the elements, and could also be used to call on her whenever he needed any help. Ryaki mostly used the powers since then to entertain himself around the city, making random ice patches appear, shocking fellow street rats trying to nick his stuff, but when word spread that the Dark Genie was real, and was back, he figured it was time to put his newfound powers to better use.

Weapon: Amy's Ring, which allows him to attack with 5 different magical powers, as well as summon Amy G whenever he wants.

Figured magic would be useful, right?

Spoiler: The Opening Post.

Well, I'll do the opening now, it's not imperative that Shapsters changes it before we start. Here we go!

The dusty plains stretched for acers and acers, nothing to obstruct my vision. I lay down staring up at the sky. The two moons overlapped and gleamed down on the town lake, it was another beautiful night. The festivals had begun once again in Nolun Village, just as they had when the whole thing started 50 years ago. People were laughing and enjoying themselves, but something about the whole party-scene put me off. I wasn't very sociable, the only person I'd ever spend time with was Dunce...where was she?

I picked myself up and dusted myself down. I tried to avoid the massive crowds, I was treated like a celebrity here...and I hated it. The Old Gaffer saw me and hit me with his stick. "Oww!" I shrieked. Suddenly the festival had stopped. They'd all seen me. Masses of shrieking girls and fans charged towards me, giving me their gratitude for something my father had done 5 decades ago. I despised the fandom. They gave me the kings chair and paraded me around like some kind of farm animal. They walked in circles around the great bonfire, and just as I thought I'd reach the end of my tether, I saw a friendly face.

"Dunce!" She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the crowd. We slipped off together behind the huge festival tents. She knew how much I loathed this time of year. We spoke for a little while, and then heard screams. I looked up in the sky and saw a large shape, backlit by the moon. Beams of purple energy rained down like Matataki Hailstorm. Buildings were set alight, people were crushed and smoking crators riddled the plains. The shape moved away from the moon and landed next to the Great Bonfire. Both I and Dunce peeked around the side of the tent to see what it was, almost immediately we knew. I put my hand around her mouth to prevent her from screaming and alerting him.

I whispered to her. "Come on, let's go get the others..." She could see my logic, and together we ran, searching for the rest of our gang.

Well, now that is over with, it's your turn. I and ae86 will find you around the village and later we will unite, but for now, describe EVERYTHING that has happened to YOU. Emphasis on you, don't say anything about Naara or Dunce, we've not even seen you yet.

It had been a long day, some gang had gave me a job to steal something from a cargo wagon on the trail, I had to wait there the whole day, but at least it went off all right, I wasn't seen and I got paid, nothing more to ask for really, but now it was time to relax and have a ale at the old inn, it was a nice place the kinda place everyone knows your name, all this to be ruined by something happening outside but I was too tipsy to care I just wanted to relax.

Rachel got out of the bed she was in. She hadn't been in this village for long and had been planning to leave due her not really belonging anywhere. she didn't take part in festivals, didn't do anything to socialise. However, she had been woken from her beauty sleep by loud noises outside.

"huh. Better take a look."

As Rachel peered through the window, she saw buildings burning and people running around.

[em]This is not good.[/em] she thought as she hastily got dressed and slipped on her quiver. Grabbing her bow and pulling her hood up, she planned to leave the village as soon as possible. She wasn't a hero and didn't really care all that much about the people of this village.
