Marty scratched his ear in confusion, taking in the sights. He wasn't sure what was going on, not that he ever had been since they'd left the train, but he was now atleast slightly sober.
"You know, I can carry him. It's not exactly like you have to place him in the giant robot when you have a spare pair of hands down here."
Even I'm quite amazed that I managed to post. I suppose having a day off sick comes in handy.
WOAH! This thing is still alive? Damn guys. I thought it had le died.
The wave of memories kept washing over him. However new images began to form in his head, images that weren't his own. He saw his own parents impaled on stakes, their charred bodies only barely recognisable. He saw Cera, Marty, Jonas, all of them laying dead.
"So this is what'll happen if we don't stop that...thing." Vids said out loud in his dream
" Yes my boy. And it us up to you and your friends to stop it." A voice spoke in his head. Vids recognised the voice almost immediately.
"Tree man? What the fuck are you doing in my head?!" Vids answered angrily, to no body in particular.
" Saving you my boy. The wound you've got is deep. It is taking a large amount of my power to heal it. " The voice answered back. As it finished the sentence, a searing pain began to form on Vids' shoulder, where the wound was on his body.
Vids screamed as he was torn from his waking dream. He throttled around in his sleep and whoever was holding him was forced to let go. When he opened his eyes he was looking up at the faces of his friends.
"Hey guys...Miss me?" He spoke weakly as he stood up. Reaching over to feel where the wound should have been, he instead felt only skin.
Rhanad was shortly baffled by seeing Vids so full of energy all of a sudden.
"Somehow I'm not really suprised," He chuckled after a while. "Seeing you guys are quite eager to hop into adventure, he sure as hell won't be out on it for long."
The group walked for several hours, stopping every so often. Eventually, they reached their destination. The mech stopped and folded away, somehow taking to the size of a novelty beer barrel. Jonas put it in his pocket. When they looked at the mass of land in front of them, it made sense. Whatever had been destroying the world had been targeting cities and towns. The hamlet the group had arrived at was in perfect condition.
"I suggest we spoke with the locals, stock up and rest. They might know something."
