Dark Souls after the patch

Yeh i was planning on doing a magic user run after my non magic one.. so it could be a problem in the future but right now it doesnt really mean much to me... But the general idea i got from players was that pyromancy before (and possibly still is) the 'easy' way to play the game. Im not sure how much truth there is to that given how elitist Dark Souls players can be already but i suppose if it can guarentee kills against the final bosses then it probably is a bit too strong.

You are right: Pyromancy in a way is Easy mode, like Royalty class in Demon's Souls. And yes Dark Souls players are elitistic, I had many discussions with DS players in the forums since last October and I can assure you about that. The only group of gamers that can beat them is the exclusive PC gamers.

Oh man, I just beat Ornstein and Smough. I was really having trouble with them too. In the end I had no more Estus flasks, no more spells (sorcerer), and about 50 health. Fuck was that close.

Sorry, I'm just feeling really triumphant right now. Awww, that sweet Dark Souls feeling.

but yeah it sounds like they just made the game more balanced.. the game is supposed to be challenging by design, not because you dont use pyromancy.
