The prequel was alright in my opinion. It had some great ideas, and some flaws (the main character looked too much like Kevin Spacey in my opnion, and the Darkness land enemies were too hard to kill). I thought the story was good, and I'd like to see a sequel. Hopefully they will fix the issues of the past games.
Pretty much exactly what this said. A few of those issues:
The first of the two bosses in the game was fought primarily by centering the camera and holding the trigger. The amount of disappointment I felt was only allievated by the story development immediatlely after.
Jackie talked without moving his lips. No one else did this.
The world was a bit small and the game a bit short (I only felt like I was getting started truly when the eclipse came).
Glitches here and there.
Certain sections required foresight of the developers (how exactly was I supposed to know that I had to jump through that small gap in the fence during the helicopter sequence?! Why was the Darkness level so hard and why didn't it tell me lightning immediatly got rid of my powers?!)
However, the story was truly well done (romance wasn't sickening, characters were interesting, there was a lot of room for interpretation for just about everything).
I still love the fact that 2K published both this and Bioshock (both FPS's staring characters with supernatural abilities that probably aren't that good in the long run judging by the history of their users with stories that are widely like and set in a decadent city ruled by greed).
