Personality
I like aggressive personalities as by nature I'm a peacekeeper/organiser in a group. Also I'm naturally a little reserved (geek + middle class = fucked) so I love people who can get me riled up. Smart is a plus but not a requirement, a lack of intentional ignorance is much more important. I'm not attracted to an IQ score but rather an interest and passion in whats around one.

Looks
Not overly picky. As long as they're not hugely overweight (I'm not) or too skinny (don't like feeling like a blimp). Prefer my height less a few inches. 4'10" is the shortest I've ever had anything for (and that's a full foot) but would probably be a limit, don't want back strain from kissing.

I like girls with glasses and nice hair. Don't know why, just gets to me! Also I look after myself and the way I look so at least a little back.

I would disagree with this point. One of the things that I love most about my wife is that we share common interests. It's great that we can enjoy the same movies and games and we can talk about them without her being bored.

Common interests are a must. Otherwise, you can't do much besides talk. And without something that both people can enjoy, they're bound to run out of stuff to talk about. Personally, I'd much rather have someone to go running with, or do some martial arts training, instead of playing games. Anyone who can tolerate my singing in Rock Band, however, would be pretty sweet.

As far as looks go, I'm into women who are a bit shorter than my height (6'4''), and have brown hair. A cute smile and a nice voice is a must. Ponytails are a plus, too.

I also have a thing for women who are kind and selfless, donating blood, doing charity work, or something along those lines.

Music taste. That is the most important feature for me. I do not know why but when a girl is into cool music i immediately like her a whole lot more. Physically as long as they are borderline overweight or below i am fine although i don't always like blondes. Exentricity is great.

I would never date a girl who has a slutty image because they are quite unatractive to me. I do not care if they are easy. Strong perfumes can also be a turn off. I like them subtle.

In the end music taste and personality are the most important things.

Basically it goes like this:
Good personality + good music taste = prospective girfriend
Good personality + bad music taste = friend
And it will always be Personality > Music taste > Looks.

My dating standards list:

obviously has to be female.
I prefer a taller woman (since I'm 6'4" I go no less than a foot shorter than me).
Race not important in fact accents are sexy in my opinion. (puerto ricans are the shit)
Not wood board thin but not fat either.
T & A has to be big but not sloppy big.
Has to be able to hold a conversation.
Has to have a sense of humor.
Doesnt necessarily have to like playing video games just dont bother me cause you dont like it. But if they did play then thats a plus.
Respect that I smoke....no not cigarettes, ya know the 420 kind.
And above else someone who is gonna love me for me and not try to change it.

...and with those I'm still single but I got a few prospects lined up.

In this case, essentially she'd have to be tall, short hair, broad shoulders, small to non-existant 'bewbs' as you call them, a prominent jawline, large hands and feet, small hips and hairy legs and maybe some facial hair too.

I'm not entirely sure what my standards are. Looking at my past relationships, the women I've dated have always been different.
As an Asian American, I've dated a black girl back in high school who was intelligent but shy and loved Shakespeare as much as I do.

In college, I dated a Russian girl who was 6ft, an inch shorter than me. She was a science freak, which I'm not too big on except for biology. But she and I had the same sarcastic sense of humor.

Not too long ago, I dated a Korean girl, and I'm not sure why I agreed to go out with her in the first place. She was almost my antithesis. She was petty, materialistic, racist, ignorant, but really hot, I guess I was following my short sword this time around.

Now I don't want to generalize Korean women, but because of this experience I am naturally just turned off by Asian women in general.

I'd like a woman who either plays video games, or at least understands and accepts that I play them.
Who is smart, and preferably with different political views than me.
Has a similar sense of humor.
Either a dog person, or doesn't mind living with one.
Don't mind smoking, but prefer non-smokers, or drinking as long as she's not like Frank the Tank in Old School.
Someone who would rather stay home and veg out instead of goin 'clubbin' or some nonsense.

I wouldn't call it standards as much as wishful thinking. I have a huge think for Turkish and other middle-eastern girls!.. I love the way they look, and if I ever meet a turkish girl who likes videogames and music, and think social sciences are totally hot, I'm gonna be chasing her till eternity

On a realistic level, I will try and hook up to anyone I find attracting, which varies a lot, especially depending on my alcohol blood-level. I usually prefer girls who stand put a bit, both in looks and personality. I hate the shallow stock pretty-girl/girlie girl kind of girls. I like the ones that challenge me a bit, and aren't complete stereotypes.

Standards and what I look for are two seperate questions; my standards are low to be honest and are just:
1) not fugly
2) can hold conversation
3) Non-smoker

what I actualy find attractive in a girl is:
1)my height or smaller
2)Its all about the eyes (hard to explain)
3) slightly (few years) older than me
4) continental european accents are a major boost (seriously havent found one I hate unlike most american accents and the stereotypical australian accent (sorry for anyone here with those)
5)piercings in the upper ear are seriously hot-not sure what the styles called but its two hoops close together on the upper part of the ear

If previous girlfriends are considered I seem to end up with super extroverted 'preppy'type girls 2-3 years older than me; majority have that colour of hair thats more shiny orange/brown than red too.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting a sense of Deja Vu here, but regardless, I care way more about personality than anything else. I like a girl that is sweet, kind, and shy. I find that adorable.

In terms of physical attributes, though. I like a short girl with medium sized boobs (big boobs intimidate me. A B cup is all I want). Also, Asian if possible.

Y'know it's kinda funny.

I have this pretty elaborate checklist that mainly applies to my geographical region (Scandinavia) that's kinda hard to explain. We had a similar thread to this one on another forum and I was asked about X, Y, Z and finally if I just couldn't post some pics of girls I've dated in order to better illustrate my standards.

So I posted a pair of pics of a couple of girls I've dated and an ex-girlfriend. They weren't NSFW but maybe a little naughty.

Heh probably just described me and most other males on the Escapist.

I find girls look wise come in flavours and I like a variety of them: Asian, Latino, Nordic, Brunette, blonde, etc. Just as long as they are attractive examples of those flavours. Only thing I really don't like is very skinny girls, there is nothing worse than having sex with a girl whose body looks like a 10 year old boys.

Personality wise they just have to be cool people, they don't have to be exactly into the same stuff as I am just have enough common ground to form a good relationship on. What is important to me is that they respect and are happy with all aspects of my life, hobbies, tastes, friends, philosophical outlook.

As Galletea said I do think some of you are asking for a lot in your women.

Let me just say that if you were like me growing up, seeing the girls I've seen, then your standards would be a bit more complex as well. I come from schools where the majority of girls either mocked me and my friends for enjoying games or they were in complete indifference who never bothered to recognize us. Several of these girls were loud, selfish, intolerant, ignorant, and never found fault in anything they did (as proven by my AP English classes, in which they were still stupid).

So what I'm trying to say is that some guys like us Escapists have a tendency to ask a lot because we've felt the cold shun of the opposite sex, forcing us to make a few more categories on our checklist.

Hm, appearance-wise: Taller than me; chubby please - none of this 6-pack, bulging muscles stuff that makes lying on your chest the equivalent to snuggling up to a brick wall; brown/red/black hair - no funky colours, and not blonde; suits are hot as hell - include a bit of stubble and a slightly scruffy hairstyle and you've got me hooked; and warm eyes (not colourwise, but personality wise).

Hmm. Taller... possible. Depends how short you are. Chubby... check. Red hair -- all natural, like the rest of me -- stubble... yep. Slighty scruffy hair... well, I've got constant bedhair. Does that count? Warm eyes? Not a clue. Hmm. Might be a match.

Personality - I do like cockiness, but I am one of the few; sense of humour - god help you if you don't have one of these.

As for my standards? I'll be honest -- they've not been put up to the test. As they stand now however, they are:

No plastic or cosmetic surgery
Friendly
Healthy weight (The phrase "more cushion for the pushin" springs to mind, and given my libido it's accurate)
Sexually charged
Non-smoker/junkie preferred
Intelligent

Don't think I'm asking for too much. I haven't had any plastic/cosmetic surgery myself, I'd consider myself friendly, I'm of a healthy weight (Slightly overweight but it's just podge), I'm as sexually charged as they come (I like sex. It's a mutually-beneficial activity. Make it awesome for all involved parties, and they'll keep coming back), I don't smoke or do drugs (Or drink, for that matter) and I'd consider myself intelligent.
