DC Reboots Wonder Woman for 600th Issue

I wonder where this so called "shift in the space time continuum" will occur that kills most of the Amazons.

Anyway, yeah, I can see this is a continuity mess in the making. Time-line changes, if my memories of Back To The Future serve me right, are very dangerous.

Also, a grounding in reality sounds like another disaster for Wonder Woman. In my experience, "a grounding in reality" means that the writers want to make a character that appeals to the crowd that plays too much Modern Warfare 2 or those who read The Authority.

I've yet to read this issue, so I'll give my full thoughts when I do.

This is exactly what comicbooks need to do. Alot of these old characters with their history stretching back half a century are so bogged down in details and SHITTY DATED WRITING it ruins them.

If they make Wonder Woman awesome, perhaps they can fix Aquaman. I have many idea's for this, oh yes.

I like the new look that Wonder Woman has, but I am iffy about DC's readiness to retcon pretty much her entire backstory. Is it really so hard to redesign a character visually without bulldozing half of the history away with hand wave?

And this is why I tend not to like Western mainstream comics... because they tend to stick to a character for 60 years and only make an effort to change them when it's blatantly obvious no one likes them any more.

I, for one, welcome our new jacket wearing wonder women.

The new outfit is very good-looking, and it does make a lot more sense than going into battle with a blue skirt.

The fact that this is a reboot is a bit suspicious: hopefully they do a good job with it though.

Isn't Wonder Woman supposed to look all gladiatrix-like?

That outfit looks a little to snazzy for an ancient goddess.
