Economic Management, like Tropico or Pharaoh. It's not dead yet, but it's going that way. Shame, because Pharaoh is FREAKING EPIC.

But yes, city-builders (hasn't been a proper one since SimCity 4, and that was in 2003), trading sims (Patrician 4 was the first one of any note to come out since Port Royale 2 in 2004), and other economic sim type games (Tropico 3 was practically a straight remake of the original, though...which was good.)
