I take it I'm the only one who played the game as a guy. I was always Leon, perfect blend of speed and power.
I mained Helena, delightfully technical. Three stances, good stance mix-ups, high and mid launchers, heavy use of aerial juggle and rebound in combos, crouching stuns and a throw that did a lot of damage and actually led to oki games. Not as good as the ninjas, but still darned good and I felt the ninjas were cheap.

Kids everywhere rejoice, boobs are now in your hands.
Technology has not gone that far yet. Tis a shame.

OT: Really? That's what they want to use the 3DS for? *Shrugs* Ok.

The trailer ends showing off "figure mode" where you can take 3D pictures, on top of the lady-intensive trailer. No need to play the game once you've unlocked the figures it seems...

....... *turns head to the side* ........ They keep making the boobs jiggle like lose jelly.[footnote]Jello for you Americans =)[/footnote]

*jiggles own boobs* Nope, no jelly in there...

Makes me doubt they've ever seen actual breasts in motion, much less touched any. They'd be disappointed I think.

Still, not a fighting game fan (not since my niece kicked my ass at Soul Caliber a gazillion times) so have phun u gais!

I actually enjoy the gameplay of DOA as far as fighters go.... one of my favorite systems of mechanics, more enjoyable for me than Tekken (clunky) or Street Fighter (a little too much in the vein of ridiculous precision and reflexes as a prerequisite to having any fun). Too bad this game looks like they ported DOA4 to the DS, recycled a bunch of other DOA levels, and toned down the graphics quality and smoothness of animation......

I'm also among those who played this game with mostly male characters as mains. I'd either main Ryu or Hayate, I remember Hayate having few solid mixup combos but a lot of very powerful short sequences and Ryu had decent speed, good power and a good mixup game and the best counter (the spinny jumpy piledriver wahey, real name was something like Izuna Throw) for damage in the game if you could get the hang of its stupidly long sequence of analog stick twists.

I fail to see why having sex appeal in a game nessecitates all this discussion and qualifiers.

The thing is that while there is a lot of eye candy, the series has lasted this long because it is actually a very good fighter, one of the best out there IMO.

While it got more outrageous over time, I will say that one of the things that carried it for me in the beginning was that they tried to make it sort of "realistic", one of the initial ways of hyping it was that it was a game that wasn't going to feature "dudes in Gis with the freak power to throw fireballs". It still looks very little like real fighting, especially in terms of the grapples and the lack of any kind of "ground game" (where a couple of serious fighters are going to wind up a lot of the time), but it was kind of neat for everyone to be a regular martial artist and have everything resolved with kung-fu rather than the use of super powers. Of course nowadays we have goverment conspiritices, cybernetic energy beings, demonic tengu with air control powers, and ninjas who teleport around and stuff... but it still has it's own unique style.

As far as characters go, it depends on the edition but Lei Fang, Ein (Hayate before he was outed/memory restored) and Hitomi are some of my favorite fighting game characters. I always thought that Ryu, Kasumi, and Ayane were a bit on the cheap side though, they get too much favortism due to the Ninja thing and tie in with the Ninja Gaiden franchise.

That said, I have Street Fighter IV as my only 3ds game for my 3ds right now, I think it's only 'ok' so I'm going to probably hold off on an initial purchuse here until I find out more about how the game holds up. See, I'm old enough to buy/watch porn if I want it, and while the eye candy certainly doesn't hurt the game, it's kind of pointless to get a game I'm not going to have some fun actually playing. So far I have yet to find a portable fighting game that has really blown me away, and I've gotten a ton of them over the years, I can't think of any that were above the 'ok' level and moved up to 'very good' or 'excellent'.

I can haz new console release plz?

Seriously, SSFIV and MvC3 are fun, but we need the real king/queen of fighters back. SC, MK and all those other fighting games are just posers in comparison to the technical superiority of Dead or Alive.

Also.....boobs. Lots of boobs.

I would get this, as I actually like the DoA games... but I don't have nor want a 3DS, and I recall reading this article [http://shoryuken.com/content/srk-exclusive-perfect-legend-interview-dead-alive-dimensions-team-4000/] about some gameplay specs...

Warning: For those of you who don't play fighters, you may wanna avoid the article so you don't get confused by some of the jargon used.

Lol. And yet that game was on public display, in Myers in Sydney, Australia, and nobody cared. (And yes, children can easily get at the games being demoed publicly there.)

It's actually the only time I've played this game, (Or the main DOA series). Shop displays. DOA beach volleyball isn't sexy. It's just weird. XD.

Lol i own DOAX 2 (nothing more fun then something really silly).

The children remark is funny since the game is rated 12 in europe(doax 2 i mean).

The 3ds game will probably be the only fighting game i will buy.

Lol. Yeah, well the reputation of something like this, considering it's own advertising tries to play up to it is pretty funny.

In all honesty it doesn't surprise me from actually playing it that it doesn't have an 'adult' rating.

But still... I think the ad speaks for itself as to why that might feel a little weird.

BOOBS DO NOT MOVE IN THIS WAY.

Get your shit together, girls.
Seriously.

Although I guess we should be somewhat understanding. They have no idea how large breasts move because they hail from a land where large breasts don't exist.
