I tried the demo of the game. It was kind of fun, yeah. But I can imagine getting bored after awhile, having tried all the techniques of killing...

But good someone liked it :D

Love it. Also, here's a little hint, if you want to play the game with no time constraints, and no on infinity mode.
During the first zombie wave, after the crazy old bat lets all the zombies in, jump onto the flower (I think) advertisement, whatever one keeps you safe. Wait until 5:30 game time, then advance up the stairs.
What this does, is make the game register that when you should get the first mission from Jesse, you get the cutscene where Frank kills the bee, triggering no mission.

Copngrats! You now have 6 hours or so to play Dead Rising uninterrupted!

Cool game, was one of my first purchases for the 360 many years ago. Save system is a bit *fnargl!* but I really enjoyed it.

I got Case Zero a few nights ago and it's good but I think I've been spoiled recently by playing too many stroy driven games with good dialogue. It now pains me to see a box pop up with text in for the conversations :( I don't mind reading, but it kinda breaks any immersion now it seems.

EDIT - Oh and best weapon by far is the Katana :)

Thank you OP, now I must go looking for a cheap copy of this to feed my nostalgia... Or wait for Halo: Reach... Such a tough decision...

Ah, I do remember playing it at a friends house. Nothing's more satisfying than sticking a Lego head on zombies.

Just a word of advice, all the bosses have a specific weapon you can easily kill them with. Here's a few.

The snipers: quickstep smoothie with a katana or any other quick weapon.
The first time you fight Carlos in the food court: wait for him on the corner of the platform he's on and use a stun gun on him when he goes to the edge of the corner.
Guy with the shopping cart: long reach weapons like the battle axe.
The guys with the MG on the truck: the uzi, found in a fountain or on top of a store in Paradise Plaza.
The cultists: Either the pistol or the uzi works great. Just aim for head level and pan back and forth.
Carlos in the truck under the mall: I like the battle axe or the longsword. You need to be able to hit him through the van.
The fat cop lady: I just used a katana on her, I only fought her once or twice.
The clown: I use a shotgun for ranged and a butcher knife with quickstep to run up and cut him when he coughs.

I can't remember any other bosses, but if you post them, I'll try and help.
The 2x4 works suprisingly well on the snipers.

christ this bring back painful memorys of the carlos with the sniper rifle being really stupidly tough to kill and the soldiers with stupid amounts of health, i mean they can take 50 rounds to the head! but aside from that, i did love the game and cant wait till the next one.

I too just recently picked up Dead Rising a few weeks ago for a cheap price, and it frustrates me for two reasons.
1. The game is too hard; the boss battles make me want to break something, the save system's more bust than a car made out of cardboard and sticky tape, and there's a time limit on everything you do!
2. There's so much wasted potential. All I really wanted to do in the game was tool around for as long as I wanted, wandering around the mall and thinking of creative ways to kill zombies. But no, the strict time limit and all too common psychopaths prevent me from doing that.

However, the main problem with the game is that killing zombies is never a crucial part of the game. They're always just in your way when you're trying to get to another objective. The highlight of the game is easily creative zombie killing, yet you never are made to do it, and the game actually seems to go out of it's way to PREVENT you from doing it.

Dead rising was fun for a while, but it does get very boring, around the time I got the megaman blaster to be precise.
Recently playing Castlevania: SOTN, and it's pretty cool.
