So it's spacey L4D. Sigh, are you seriously fucking telling me they can't be more creative than to create one that vomits acid? Really?!
It's better than shoveling in a useless deathmatch mode that will be played for about a week or two and then will die out just like every other game that doesn't need multiplayer. And besides, just because it looks like a mixture of Alien Swarm and Left 4 Dead doesn't make it bad... it could have the potential to be a lot of fun. And after I beat Dead Space, I haven't touched it so it's trying to have a little bit of extra replay value. I'm trying to be optimistic...
Optimism successful. You do make some good points, Dead Space has little to no replay value.

This and the Portal 2 co-op mode might actually be able to change my less than favorable opinion on multiplayer, but we'll have to wait and see. I'll probably try playing as a necromorph first to see exactly how it all works.

I'm not one for the Dead Space series, but this multiplayer mode looks awesome. Very similar to L4D's Versus mode, but the objectives should help with adding some originality and flair.

Very much like L4D.
But then L4D is my favourite CO-OP experience, followed by Doom 3.

Always thought the first Dead Space was a lot like Doom 3 except being third person.

Does this mean there's a Campaign CO-OP mode? Didn't really like the first one but Campaign CO-OP tends to make things a lot more fun for me.

Anyone else thinking Alien Swarm? Anyhow it still looks pretty sweet. I love L4D, so this looks right up my alley. If only I played the original...

This reminds me of Left 4 Dead and it looks kinda cool god I hope they allow player skins so everybody doesn't just play as Isaac...

Hmm....Too me it seems that the Necro's might be at an disadvantage...Mind you, we weren't shown very much, but with stasis the human player seem a bit over powered to me. I guess will just have to wait till we actually see anything tangible.

Okay, im not one to be a little pansy about these sort of things, But child necromorphs? A little overkill.
*looks at your avatar*

Yeah, kids well being is obviously your first priority :p

OT: Definately looks a lot like L4D.
That was a Zing if I have ever seen one.

The only game that has done objective based multiplayer well is Enemy Territory.
The best example that came to my mind as well. Particularly the Wolfenstien one. It was entirely objective based and incredibly fun. A lot more teamwork and skill involved than a typical deathmatch kill everything that moves mode.

Looking forward to this now more than ever.

I'm going with blatantly obvious first: Left4DeadSpace

Aside from that, I don't really like the fact that the multiplayer even exists, because it will most likely take resources and development time from the single player part, and that's what most people are insterested in I think.

Im pretty sure they are trying to be Left 4 Dead. No way they could have designed this whole thing and not one person said:
"Hey, this seems a bit like Left 4 Dead"

Or maybe someone did mention that so the multiplayer productiom team cut his head off with a plasma cutter.

In order to pull this off, they'll need to get the thing that L4D does perfectly immaculately: the musical cues. Dead Space has scarier music, but they'll need to adapt it to fit with the multiplayer or all tension will be gone.
