I kind of wanted to play Shattered Dimensions, as Spider-Man 2099 was the only of the 2099 comic lines I really followed. Maybe I'll see if I can get a cheap retail copy.

Good thing I snagged Deadpool during the Steam sale then. :)
Ten bucks was still too expensive for it.

Saying thus is an act of personal opinion, not fact.
Yes, and...?

OT: Why do I get the feeling that this is going to enter us into another slippery slope of business practices that everyone will hate and will cause yet another massive tirade against those who distribute games?
Because you have pattern recognition?

MinionJoe said:
So all future Marvel games will only be available on Origin?

That's scarey because it's so very, very plausible...
It sounds like a business decision on par with the industry's status quo.

Shadow-Phoenix said:
So now some games I'd considered playing are now no longer available in digital space?.

Digital distribution really is the future, I'm sure I'll totally enjoy this happening in the future.
It's not the future...It's TEH FEWCHUR!

I'm guessign Disney/EA will be the guys to ship out the new Marvel games, in which case, smart move. EA might be awful, but with Disney now at the helm, EA will barely get a word in.

Now i just need Hasbro to end there contract with Activision and i will be a happy guy.

If Hasbro contracts with somebody competent maybe they'll finally outsource Magic Online so we can get a version that doesn't suck.

Shit. At least my sister got Deadpool. I am kinda disappointment though, 'cause I lost my web of shadows disk, and sorta had an itch for it.

And, yes these will probably show up on origin or something later. Or maybe they'll start selling them at Disney stores.

And a Transformer game without a fuckton of DLC (Fall Of Cybertron, while you were a good game, i'm looking at you here -.-)

I find that how much I pay for a game directly affects what I'm willing to forgive. I'll let a lot more stuff slide for $10 than I will for $50.

FUTURRRRRRE, FUTTUREEEE.

I was never a Spongebob fan, so I don't really get it.

But seriously though the future's here.
Unfortunately, there's always more future. These dames were only delisted. I wonder what happens if someone decides to take the next step and remove them.

It's sad that it happens though, I was actually looking into buying Deadpool since I loved Hulk Vs Wolverine, Nolan North's a pretty favoured VA too.

Or maybe the head of Marvel/Disney is a gamer and they are tired of having to use fucking Uplay because I know I am.
Wait, what? How does Activision losing their Marvel license at all involve Ubisoft's uPlay system?

why havent we had a relatively good marvel game in decades?
We did get one just a few months ago: LEGO Marvel. Aside from that, I'm not sure. Poor choices made with choosing who to license to?
I will tell you exactly how Activision losing their Marvel license at all involve Ubisoft's uPlay system. I got them mixed up :)

I wouldn't have paid more than five bucks for it. It had its moments, but it was short, and that's even worse considering how soul-sucking Muir island was. I think even ten bucks was too much for me to forgive it its flaws.

I agree it's a shame. I'm just wondering if we'll see it get worse. It's also kind of stupid to delist unless it's costing you money and it's probably stupid of Marvel to end their publishing deal on old games with Activision. Unless it was contingent on a future relationship with Activision, in which case screw Activision. I mean, this business arrangement has ended, so they have no choice, but it's a stupid situation in the modern world. Or TEH FEWCHURRRRR! If you prefer.

Because your opinion on the quality of a game is totally relevant on a discussion about the business practice of removing games from digital distribution platforms after they had been available for months/years. Right.

Between this and the Fallout games being yanked from GOG, it'll be interesting to see the ramifications and wether games vanishing from platforms will become too common.

What! X-Men Destiny is no longer available? NOOOOOOO! It was just misunderstood and didn't have time to blossom and and erm stuff :(

Maybe Disney are thinking about getting in to the game publishing arena now that they have a lot more properties to exploit for releases? Although it's a bit puzzling that they would hand off the Star Wars rights to EA, two times worst company in america, but deny Activision their licenses. Not that Activision are a shining beacon of joy.

We might actually see some more decent Marvel games that aren't Lego based.

Oh god Activision, that name still haunts me, I loved my Transformers War & Fall of Cybertron games but the multiplayer was never fully fixed or supported for either.

I even had the retarded idea of buying FOC on Steam, believing the online play for that would be supported and improved, nope it was full of russian hackers who had god mode and one hit kill weapons that could kill you the moment you spawned or even looked at them, they then turned the multiplayer on Steam into a complete ghost town, one of my favourite franchise games has officially had their multiplayer forcibly ruined due to Activision/high Moon not getting on top of what should have been the standard and the hackers for not having any sense of decency and honour.

Well then I won't be buying any more of them, which is a bit of a shame because I rather liked Deadpool.

You know, I ALWAYS consider buying them when they're on sale. Then someone reminds me of something like this, and I'm like "so that's why...."

I can't name many Activision games I own from the last decade, so I don't have a major stigma against them.

Yeah I've been putting my hands too close to the stove and I've got a few games here and there that are completed/ are still in beta that feel incomplete/broken and I think it's time I just jump to my backlog and play those other games to take my time away from the ones that remain as they are.

It's sad that Transformers gets next to no love (movie franchise is different itself), it's recent games had promise (the campaign of both games are still great for me) but were let down by little to no support and the wrong crowd of people invading the games multiplayer which combined and brought it down.

I think I'll just look at games I know I can trust based on much more thorough research.

I can't comment with any certainty of truth but I'll speculate here... Activision has to be a big part of this, even though the majority of games have been trash, I found Deadpool to be exactly what I expected and wanted out of it and the Origins Wolverine game was probably my favorite X-Men title since the SEGA Genesis. But Activision has a track record of being stupid, and I would think that Disney/Marvel isn't happy with the subpar titles that have been released to date. Also of notable exception were the X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance series, but out of all the Marvel titles for only a handful to be even worth a bargain bin purchase is sad.
I can see why they would decide to yank all licensing agreements, but again its just speculation.

Seems to me that Disney wants to either liscense out their games to a single company or just do it themselves.

I'd like to see something like Mass Effect only have it Star Wars. Though that's just me.

Hoping to see what awesome games come out in the future from them!
