I've been saying for ages this forum needs a deal sticky to help people save money. :|

Hooo boy, I have a lot to say on this one that I'm just going to keep my mouth shut on. Bottom line: it's a good game that allows you to play Magic. This game taught me all the ins and outs of the card game, but if I actually cared about playing Magic, I'd probably be quite disappointed in this. There is virtually no customization at all for your decks, but on the flip-side, a bunch of them are well built (Ears of Elves, Mind of Void) so none of the legwork has to be done by you. I still give this game a thumbs up, even though there are so many fails in it. The DLC is also 50% off, so be sure to pick those up since some of the best decks are in the expansions.

Do what I do. Bookmark this thread. Next best thing to a sticky.

Also, Garry's Mod is half off again...$5. And every time I see one of those Railworks add-ons I think "one of these days I'm going to spend more money on this game and its DLC than I spend on college tuition." Has anyone played it to tell me if it's any good?

In celebration of the new DLC, L4D and L4D2 are both on sale. Both can be purchased in a bundle for $10.20, but L4D is not mac compatible though.

Also...

If L4D2 was off by 75% I'd buy it. I kinda want it, but still cheaper. It just doesn't seem that great (played a free weekend a while ago). Maybe over christmas...

I get what you are saying, but at $5.10 (if you are buying the pack) is about as cheap as you can go for a game that isn't even a year old. I'm not saying that you should buy it even if it isn't your cup o' tea, but is that $1.80 (or less if they offer a pack with the next sale) really that big of a deal? That's what I'm surprised about.

It's back and it's got new content. My expereince with this game has been on the positive side, because you just get to blow shit up. It's quite mindless though, so if you are looking for a deeper game, you should have bought the L4D sale.

Gary's Mod is $5 this week. I'm not one to be creative enough to use this tool effectively, but I just dropped the cash for it anyways.

Lol definitely the same problem here. The way I see it, if it's a game I could play, I'll buy it because I'd prefer to have it and not play it than have the cash and not have it.

I usually don't post launch sales, but this is the final part of the Guild Wars pack that wasn't in the trilogy pack that has been on sale on several occasions.

Dude.. it's less expensive then lunch. Under $7 is too much for a main title video game? I thought this game is a steal at that price. Sure its not the greaest game of all..its repetative, one trick pony etc etc.. but come on..7 bucks?!?.

Gold edition available for $8.75. The description calls it critically acclaimed, but I've never heard of this game.

I almost don't want to post this one because it just SCREAMS bad bad BAD!!! to me. From the title of the game to the piss-poor trailer they have on the Steam site. Hell, all they showed was a lot of screenshots receiving some odd interference and calling it a trailer. The Metascore is at a whopping 64%, which is about double I'd give it from the vibe it's putting off.

I could be completely wrong and this could be your favorite shooter ever though, so ignore me, because my fleeting opinions aren't really valid until I've played it.

Oh damn I missed that one. Thanks. I'M tempted to get it, and I haven't felt much interest in getting the telltale games until they are done releasing them. Something to do with wanting the most for my money and not being interrupted by a quick ending. Dunno, I'm finicky about what games I get if I can come up with some stupid reason.

OBJECTION! [http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=4398336]

I've bought the game due to it's current £5 price tag and Hutch's review and I have to say, it's actually pretty good for the price you pay.

It's essentially Call of Duty but in the mid-future and it does it rather well.

Just on the side, I love the fact that you keep adding these since I don't always get around to checking Steam for offers but I do log on to the Escapist so keep up the good work and that game is actually somewhat good. The 64% thing doesn't do it justice since it's an indie game on sale for a fiver.

Well that's good to hear. I ended up watching the trailer another 6 or so times because of the MST3K quality it took on to me. I was just picturing the team recording the demo and the techie guy kept messing with the video cables to cause the static and video distortions, thus ruining their demo recording.

So if we have a thumbs up from you, I guess I'd give it a tentative thumbs up as well, because the vibe I was getting said no one would enjoy this. I guess these devs just need some better marketing people. That's the sad thing about gaming is that no screenshot or video demo can accurately summarize how a game is going to feel in the hands of a player. I'm sure there are a lot of great games out there that have been ignored because no one bothered to look at them because of bad marketing. Hell, I'm in the middle of a great unknown title on the DS, and even though the presentation of it also screams "low quality," I'm having a blast with it.

I bought it on sale as well after hearing some reviews and can't say I share the feeling. It's got a massive hard-on for not telling you how anything works - assuming that you know that when you press 3 or 4 that you want to throw a grenade rather than hold it, ala CSS (I made this assumption and blew up for it, sorry for not being psychic, B:TD) and it's got horrible video options. All you can do is adjust brightness and resolution and a shader of some sort. You know, the kind of thing that says "I'm a shitty console port. Adjusting model or texture quality? Shadows and particle effects? Fuck that shit, just change resolution bro."

Oh, and it uses GFWL. Because when I play on PC, I totally want to have the Xbox Live experience.

Granted, I need to play it more but my initial impressions are less than rosy.
