Microsoft owns Rare now. They won't give games to competitors out of the goodness of their heart. The people who made the game should own it, (Although those people left) not the owners of the hardware platform.

Man, I really wish I could agree with you, but sadly I cannot. Nintendo didn't make Rare great back in the SNES/64 days, Rare was just better. All of the good developers have left Rare, which is why it sucks now. Going back to Nintendo would do nothing but disappoint. Rare was great, but their days of greatness are over.

Aye.

They all left to make Free Radical, which made Timesplitters.

Then they went bankrupt. Yep, the company that made Timesplitters went bankrupt.

Rare is a completely different company now.

Still, might as well keep hoping.

Technically they didn't go bankrupt. They were purchased by Crytek and are now known as Crytek UK.

OT: If you want my opinion on the new Rare, their sequels to their old games have sucked, yet their new IP's have been pretty damn good overall (especially Kameo).

i guess ill expand this topic to something im pretty sure has been done to death but what are some of your favorite games that dont get the sequals they deserve do to liscencing battles?

I remember playing Star Fox Adventures and Banjo-Tooie. Both were mediocre furry games. I didn't even want to play Nuts & Bolts.

Needless to say, I don't really have a high view of current Rare.

That said, Old rare is dead and gone everyone good there has left. The Stamper Bros, Dave Wise, Kirkhope gone.
