Canon doesn't work that way in comics. All Star Superman was a possible lead up to the DC 1,000,000 storyline written also by Grant Morrison. Being set in a different continuity or timeline does not invalidate something from being Canon or not. That's a fan invention.Baron_BJ said:I'll end this. Superman prime Google him, he hung out in the sun for 15 thousand years
But to be more on topic; The calculations for Goku were terribly inaccurate. Superman recovered too quickly from the kryptonite. Their characterization was god awful and neither character would have fought the way they did (Goku always takes this shit away from cities, Superman would have also quickly moved their battle location once he noticed the damage that was being done). That being said, Superman would win regardless, Both can raise their "power" to levels so obscene that it would destroy planets, they wouldn't allow Earth or any other inhabitable planet to be destroyed during their fight and Goku has to breathe whereas Superman doesn't. Literally the only thing that ends up mattering in this "death match" is that Goku can't breathe in space.
All that aside, this is retarded, neither character fits into each others universes, mixing and matching this crap just doesn't work, the video was stupid and looked piss-poor (the voice acting made me want to pop my eardrums with an icepick), the idiotic prattling of the the fans from both sides (ESPECIALLY in the comment section of screw attack) is inane and insufferable.
People (unfortunately now I'm mixed up in this crap) are fighting over FAN-FICTION.
Also, I'm a an arrogant killjoy if you've yet to notice.

When the hell does Goku have telepath ability when he got out an bean without using his hands?
How did Superman figure out Goku is an alien? (Well ok not so much of an plotholes.)
Goku no longer use that staff once he use it to reach Kami palace.
Can Goku really turn into SS4 easily and even then they did it out of canon wise (judging from the setting it was DBZ seeing how Roshi, Chi Chi and etc where there in their DBZ apperances).
While the explaination why Superman win was sound but wasn't it pretty much a bittersweet result seeing how they both blow up Earth or is Superman somehow travel back in time somehow? (I mean there no longer planet for him to spin back on.)
If that were true, you could throw DC's Elseworlds and Marvel's What If and Zombies series into the mix. That would get messy as far as Death Battle is concerned. If it's stated by the creator the two universes have nothing to do with each other, that's pretty much the end of it.Winnosh said:Being set in a different continuity or timeline does not invalidate something from being Canon or not. Check out Team Four Star, masenkoX does the voice of Goku and his son Gohan in a Dragonball Z Abridged series.deanospimoni said:It was a rather well produced and entertaining episode. Goku's voice made me laugh.
Ah, like the infamous Vegito Chocolate Ball.knight steel said:Yes but think about how powerful that foot would be! Good episode though.
did you watch the video? superman would simply brush off a supernova and goku would not survive being in the sun simply because there is no oxygen, also superman draws his power from the sun and goes into it during the videoJudgeGame said:Goku would survive being thrown into the Sun, while Superman wouldn't. I was basing my point on the All-Star Superman arc where he gets terminally ill by flying to close to the sun and dies. Apparently, DC has made this non-canon.llew said:did you watch the video? superman would simply brush off a supernova and goku would not survive being in the sun simply because there is no oxygen, also superman draws his power from the sun and goes into it during the videoJudgeGame said:Goku would survive being thrown into the Sun, while Superman wouldn't. He got fired around the end of October. Hard News was taken up by Chad, Newsroom (their best series) ended with a bad bloopers reel and they've been cycling people in and out of Sidescrollers ever since. I just don't care about it anymore.Baron von Blitztank said:Jared left? When did that happen?
OT: Haven't seen the episode since my internet and whatever it is ScrewAttack use to host their videos do NOT go well together.
He belived that he was terminally ill. he was actually undergoing a change leading to him becoming Superman Prime and shedding his more mortal form.JudgeGame said:I was basing my point on the All-Star Superman arc where he gets terminally ill by flying to close to the sun and dies. Okay, THAT'S not even fair.PsychicTaco115 said:I think the more intriguing question everyone has on their mind is who would win in a fight...
Between Cole MacGrath and Alex Mercer
Two reasons, I would assume. First, because Goku is iconic. Second, because by the end of Z I believe he's back to being the most powerful non-fused character (both because he trained between the end of the Buu arc and the end of Z, and because there were some power up shenanigans when he and Vegeta defused) though it's debatable if Vegeta could be tied with him still at this point.Lazy-Man said:I have question, why Goku? He isn't the most powerful character in DBZ (Yeah, I'm not taking GT into account, because it was shit, and completely unnecessary) Vegito is supposedly the most powerful character, and Gohan is supposed to be the most powerful non-fused good guy... also what about Buu? I think Kid Buu vs Superman would have been way more interesting.
