Ben's PDA beeped at him, so he reached into his pocket to see what was up. Map schematics were in.

"Alright people, listen up. This map looks pretty simple. Plenty of cover, perfectly symmetrical. Just keep your heads down and keep your wits about you when we're in there, and we'll all make it through just fine." Ben looked at his watch. Twenty minutes til' the simulation started. He downed another drink, and decided he'd better stop. Death Coliseum was very unforgiving, especially to drunkies.

Yes, I did do this with Paint. Black walls are solid buildings.

Wes looked over the map, then responded to Carter. "I don't have a problem with blue hair, just that it might make your head an easier target. So, like he said, keep your head down."

Theodurus sipped his beverage as he eyed this Carter fellow, he didn't really approve of his outrageous hairstyle. But neither did he really have a say in it, and as long as he didn't constantly annoy him with it, he would keep quiet.

As Ben showed the map to the team he memorized it, "So we just go in there with vague guidelines and no plan? Like some unorganized street gang?"

He downed his drink before continuing, "That sounds like a recipe for unnecessary injury and confusion, if you ask me."

"Well, Theodorus, I'm all game for some strategy talk, but we're running low on time. If we're gonna talk tactics, we better talk fast."

I'm likin' your character man. Much different from the typical RP character.

Due to certain circumstances, I have to drop from this RP. It looked like it was gonna be fun too.

"My hair hasn't affected me so far..but if it does then I'll change it." Carter saw the map and memorized it quickly.

Yet another match...

"So then what are our tactics going to be?"

Seth came and whispered in Ben's ear about something. Ben patted Seth on the back and told him "It's ok." Seth walked out of the bar. Ben watched him leave and knew he was close to doing the same thing.

"Everyone, Seth informed me he just can't do it. There's no time for me to recruit a new player so it looks like we're gonna be down a man this round. Which is ok. We can still do....this....just....." Ben trailed off falling into a seat at the bar.

If we make it out of this alive, I'll be sure to pay Seth a visit.

"Well then..." Theodorus said as he quickly assessed his teammates strengths, and possible weaknesses.

"We have many good melee fighters on our team, and in most settings that is a clear point in our favour...". He cleared his throat before continuing, "However, this map seems to have a fair share of open terrain, as well as cleverly placed cover with good overview of the arena. This will prove a challenge for our members specializing in close quarters, because it will be difficult to approach the enemy position."

He waited, letting the information sink in before talking. "But... If we can lure them closer to us using ranged weapons, and a small team of stealth oriented members falling back after an "unsuccessful" assault." He began putting more pressure into his words, "Then we can ambush them from up close, were we have a clear advantage. They'll never know what hit them."

I stumbled into the bar, obviously late and smelling of cheap alcohol and smoke. I eyed the team carefully and in a strong Russian accent I muttered, "Fuck." Sitting down, I ordered straight vodka and lit up a cigar.

The Russian man passed Carter. Carter covered his nose, he smelled of cheap liquor and cigar smoke. He took a sip of his water. It seemed like everyone was drinking.

Is this guy even going to be able to fight? He seems like he's way too wasted to even walk straight.

He shook his head and turned to Theodorus and nodded his head.

"Sounds like a good plan."

"Nice of you to join us Stanislav, anyways Theodorus, sounds like a plan. range fighters will cover melee combatants, ranged will flank the enemy team around back, and flush them right to our melee teammates. Everyone got it?" I waited a moment for questions...

Rachel wrapped her hands in another, fresh layer of bandages to pad them.

"what about me? I'm a medic."

I raised my hand reluctantly. I was always more of a run-and-gun one-man army, but I knew that I would need to work with the team if we expected to survive.

Theodorus picked his hat off the table and put it on before holding his hand up.

"Right you are, captain"

He looked with distaste on the russian, "Might I suggest you get your act together, either that or that you promptly use your drunken behind as a decent distraction before you get anybody killed."

He definitely didn't like him, being in this state only showed that he had no regard for the rest of the team who would have to keep this drunkard alive.

Signing off for now, have work tomorrow.

"Rachel, you need to stick with the main group of fighters, don't stray too far, or we'll be without medical attention. Without you this team falls apart. You're the backbone." He turned to his Russian comrade.

He had recruited Stanislov, because despite his attitude, this man was a tank. Trained with the Spetznaz. This man was exactly the kind of boost this team needed.

"What Stanislav?"

"Nevermind, thought you had a question," Ben looked at his watch. Ten minutes til the match. God help us all. Ben sat down,....and waited.

After hearing Ben's announcement, I downed my shot of vodka, chuckled grimly and said, "Now the fun begins."

I'm going to bed too.

Damn, I'm all ready to go (almost 7pm here) and the rest of you are off to bed. :)

Wes looked over at the Russian warily. I hope he can function while drunk. He won't be keeping anybody alive if he passes out on the ground. Deciding not to say anything, Wes stood up and pulled on his helmet, then adjusted his goggles. He flicked a switch and the HUD appeared. All it did was show the life in his batteries, as well as the time and a stopwatch; but he planned to update it eventually. Good. He then unsheathed his sword and plugged it in, via a cord in his sleeve. The handle instantly warmed, but it would stay about the same temperature, while the blade would be glowing red-hot by the time the match started. Ten Minutes.
