Decide Whether Gears 3's Sidekick Lives or Dies for Charity

I say save him. But... what if this is all a trick? What if by him living, someone else on the main cast dies? They could pull a Metal Gear Solid 2, even, have the main cast get wiped and you finish the game AS the lone Carmine left standing?

...wow, this makes me wanna buy TEN shirts! I'd love to see the look on people's faces when they realize they saved him at the cost of everyone else!

See, this is how I always pictured it.

There are going to be 4 Gears games.

In Gears 1, Carmine (Anthony) was a bit of a dull soldier, who ended up dying because of his stupidity.

In Gears 2, Carmine (Ben)was a polite, kind soldier, who broke the Golden Rule of Gears and died because of it.

In Gears 3, part 1, Carmine (Clayton) SHOULD die. He should also have a lovable flaw, but die just the same, in a sad way as Ben did.

In Gears 3, part 2, we should meet the D. Carmine, who is pretty silent for a while. Then, once we hit a fire fight, we find out that D. Carmine is actually like his brothers, except for one thing: He's a complete Badass. Not a funny badass, like Baird, or a silent badass, like Tai, but a CARMINE Badass. He has that same sense of duty and kindness, but he's gonna survive.

So, sadly, my vote goes for the Death Option.

Sorry for what is likely a double post, but there's only 3 Carmines. This guys is killing a character based on wishful thinking.

Well then I was wrong, but I highly doubt there will be a fourth game. Besides, why are you so set on traumatizing this family further? Ben Carmine was a step in the right direction, I want to see one as a fully respected member of the family. I mean, how big a shock would it be to fans for, say, Marcus to LOSE the last fight of the game? But just before he dies, Carmine leads a big counter-strike and saves everyone, but not at the cost of his own life? If you're a troper, then I hope you'll agree that the Carmines have Earned Their Happy Ending.

The game already has a narrative akin to 300, why not have him be the one telling the story of the 'gods' he walked with

Granted I'm a bit biased as I don't get the hype around this franchise (i liked the first a bit but the second hurt)

Not a bad PR idea. Personally, I've never liked Gears of War's characters, so I'd say kill him.

I'll be voting for this particular Carmine to live.

Partially because it would be good to see one of the Carmine brothers actually live this time and also, given that the last two have kicked the bucket, it won't really be much of a shock this time around if he did die, as I can imagine most people will be expecting him to take the hit.

Also, as this will be the last Gears game, perhaps they should give us something a bit more harsh than just having a fairly minor character dying. Having at least one principal cast member die would have greater dramatic effect.

I don't out much hope, as we all of course know that all Gears players are immature meatheads who think death is cool and funny , so the majority will doubtlessly be voting for Clay to die.

Carmine has always been my favorite gears character. Ben and Anthony both seriously...they have more personality then the rest of them combined (minus the Cole-train)

Please don't kill Carmine! I always cry every time one of them die and it's just depressing that the innocent character has to die while fucking Marcus lives on. The only person better then Carmine is Cole Train.

God that would suck. Besides we need to honor Saving Private Ryan by killing 3 and saving the fourth.

Have you seen the screens of Clay Carmine? He's not as green as the others, he's a freakin tank! He's still got the helmet but has a massive tatt in memory of his brothers on his right arm.
I'd say he's got a good chance of surviving. Then again I said that about Tai and.. well...
