... I'll at least try it out...

God I miss Xleague...
Yup, Xleague was amazing.

However Ginx Files / Gameface on Bravo are actually pretty good if you ignore the fact they've never called a game bad.
i mis guru lary and wes, it would be great if they were on the channel there to

I did like this website, but sometimes, this holier-than-thou attitude does bug me.I may enjoy the in-depth articles on here, but sometimes, a bit of trashy MTV-esque fun which involves popular video games doesn't hurt even the most jumped up of ego's. Just because you've played a few Tim Schaefer games and thought them better than they actually were does not entitle anyone to look down on those who take a more mainstream interest in our hobby. I may or may not watch it, I don't know yet, but I hate what this article alludes to; that I shouldn't.

*vomits all over the floor*
*continues reading*
*vomits again*
(choking on vomit) This is easily the worst idea I've heard for a channel ever, even worse than George Carlin's idea for an all suicide channel.

We did used to have Game Network. It was pants but it was there.

So no, this isn't a first.
Oh god, the presenters on that... put me off gaming TV for a while.

But we did have GamesMaster in the 90's, which was awesome. Dominik Diamond = legend.
/sigh I miss that canny Scotsman.
Me too. Although it was aimed at a younger audience, it was probably the best offering Britain has offered on the gaming TV front so far.

Well I'll give this a look at least, can't hurt to explore it when it comes out.

I do watch Gameface occasionally, however the girl in it gets a bit annoying. I hope this works well though, if it does then... WOOOOT!

Hells the point? Casual gamers aint gonna sit around and watch a gaming channel, that's why they're casuals, and seriously "Focusing on celeberaties that play video games"? It's not fucking heat magazine, I want to see a couple of crazy Koreans fight to the death in a heated game of Starcraft while the crowd bays for blood!

Yeah, as if I would move to the UK for a freaking Gaming channel. *Rolls eyes*

If they wanted to make bucks, why didn't they set up shop in the US? I mean, have you SEEN the Xbox 360 lights on the Halo 3 globe map of players? THE MAJORITY IS RIGHT THERE! At the right slice of North America! Which is to say, US East.

Why would I want to watch TV for my gaming news?
They can't fill an entire day with it anyway, so what's the point.
Go internet.

It only got better when they added hour after hour of text in chat to it... Also I can't think of a single game based show other than gameface and I don't watch it because it is shit.

Aye, Gamesmaster was legendary. Best part was Patrick Moore.

Patrick Moore actually co-hosted a games show. Think about it for a second...

This might be worth a watch, if only to see how it progresses and whether or not they show some good stuff.

I'll be pissed if you have to pay for it though!

What we have already sucks. And this comes from the same people? Is it going to be all T&A girls from Essex talking out of their backsides about stuff they don't get?

Will give it a watch, sure, but I'm not expecting anything.

"whose company already produces Gameface, the most popular videogame show on British TV."

I live in the UK and I have never heard of that show. This channel is going to fail HARD and the worst thing is it is going to drag so many jobs down with it.

I mean I don't even watch TV any more... I can tell my demographic doesn't watch TV any more, look at what is on in a typical evening:
-antiques selling show
-antiques BUYING show
-Home renovation show
-Home buying show
-Ballroom dancing show
-X factor
-Pretentious period drama

Shit like that. The good stuff like Top Gear is so few and far between.

Depending on whether it's on Freeview or not, I'll at least give it a try. With that said my expectations are very, very low.

I agree with everything you just said. There used to be some gamer programme on Sky One too, back when Sky first started. Big Boy Barry or something? Oh wow, what a memory. Must forget, must forget.

You're right though. Dominik Diamond and Patrick Moore: what a team. :)

I think there was one called GamesTV that closed down ages ago. It was a bit crap at night because they just showed footage of someone playing an MMO, but it was the same footage every night.
