Give me some suggestions
Sorry for the ridiculously long post <.< ........

Fried Macaroni & Cheese sticks:
-Make any kind of macaroni and cheese recipe (add a little extra cream to make it richer)
-Spread out the finished macaroni and cheese evenly in a casserole dish.
-Freeze the macaroni and cheese fully.
-Thaw the dish lightly to allow pieces to be cut.
-Cut into 5x1.5x1 inch pieces.
-Coat the cut pieces of macaroni and cheese (which is still slightly frozen) in flour
-Dip the flour coated pieces in buttermilk
-Coat the pieces in seasoned bread crumbs (add some paprika and italian seasoning to the mix).
-Then deep fry or bake (approximately 30-45 minutes) or until the product is browned.
-Season as you like.

Ingredients:
3 slices whole wheat bread
3 slices cooked turkey (few seconds in a skillet)
3 slices cooked ham (few seconds in a skillet)
3 slices American cheese
3 slices swiss cheese
1 egg
1 -1 1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Directions:
-Place turkey and Swiss cheese on one slice of bread and ham and American cheese on another slice of bread and place 3rd slice in-between to complete sandwich.
-Smoosh the sandwich together so it holds together easier and secure the triple-decker sandwich with a few tooth picks.
-Place egg in mixing bowl, add water and beat together and then add salt, sugar, flour, and baking powder then beat batter until smooth.
-Dip sandwich in batter and carefully cover all the sides and surface.
Carefully place in hot oil and fry until golden and when sandwich has turned a warm gold color remove from hot oil and place on paper towel to let cool then remove toothpicks.
-Before serving slice into fourths and sprinkle with powder sugar.
-Serve with Raspberry jam.
Ingredients:
6 Twinkies
6 Popsicle sticks
flour
1 cup milk
1 tbsp oil
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
powdered sugar
vanilla ice cream
chocolate syrup

Directions:
-Chill or freeze Twinkies for several hours or overnight.
-Mix together milk, vinegar and oil.
-In another bowl blend flour, baking powder and salt.
-Whisk wet ingredients into dry and continue mixing until smooth.
-Refrigerate batter.
-Push stick into Twinkie lengthwise, leaving about 2 inches to use as a handle, dust with flour and dip into the batter.
-Rotate Twinkie until batter covers entire cake.
-Place carefully in hot oil (375 degrees). The Twinkie will float, so hold it under with a utensil to ensure even browning.
-Remove after golden brown and remove stick once cooled.
-Top with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and powdered sugar.

-Remove and let cool after golden brown, about 3 mins.

Deep fried Mars bar, it's the finest of Scottish cuisine!

I've never understood the obsession with deep frying everything. I mean, don't get me wrong, I enjoy deep-fried things occasionally, just not too often. On that note, despite living in Scotland, I have never actually seen anywhere that claims to sell deep-fried Mars bars. Which I'm a tiny bit disappointed by, since I'd probably try one (once, and then never again). What's with that?
I think they only do it if you ask, the chippy near me will deep fry any bar you bring into them but they don't advertise it.
That makes sense. I did sort of suspect that was the case, since I can't ever remember seeing them advertised anywhere. I may end up trying one at some point, when I'm feeling particularly adventurous (and strong of stomach).
Edinburgh has a shop near the OMNI centre where they sell everything deep-fried. Including advertised deep-fried Mars bars, delicious yet disgusting.

You b*stards. I gained two pounds just reading this thread.

My wife hails from the UK. Everytime I visit, I have to run three miles every morning or I come back with a serious spare tire. That said, chips and cask ale were invented by God.

Oh, and one other thing:

There's a casino here in the Wasteland (the Club Cal-Neva) that has a snack bar at its sports book. And I have learned that the greatest pleasure to be found in northern Nevada with one's clothes still on is to put $20 on the Celtics then settle in with a couple of deep-fried sausages, a big cup of Pepsi, and the game on one of their big screens.

That's hot (as in spicy, of course) Italian sausage. Deep fried. No batter, no tricks, just fry. Amazingly, a good sausage won't even get all that greasy because the casing repels the oil.

Thank you both. These ideas, I love.

Especially the pickles. I now know what I'm bring over to my friends house for the Super Bowl (Which we probably wont watch, in favor of messing around with his kid).

I have learned from experience that you can fry any chocolate, pastry, fruit, or meat. I think veggies are the only thing you can't.

Deep fry any of the various snack cakes. We've all heard of deep-fried Twinkies, but I was in Knoxville on New Year's Eve, and saw a place selling deep-fried Swiss Cake Rolls, Devil Dogs, and a host of other deadly concoctions.

Try that.

...I want tasty treats, not another cause for wasted oil.

I recycle my oil (Peanut is expensive). The more bits in there, the harder it is to strain the stuff.
