Nuh-uh, Guts is based on Rutger Hauer, specifically his character in Flesh and Blood. So yeah, Guts is based on a dutchmen... *epic fist pump*Fox12 said:Also, his design may have influenced the creation of Guts and Berserk, which automatically makes him the greatest ever. Sorry Kirk, it was never even a competition.
Damn, Miura should have seen this coming. Every country in the world is trying to lay claim to his characters. The Germans won't shut up about Gotz, that stupid mercenary of theirs, and British can't stop bringing up Michael moorcock. Oh well, countries have found dumber reasons to fight.Casual Shinji said:Nuh-uh, Guts is based on Rutger Hauer, specifically his character in Flesh and Blood. OT: Eh, I don't know Kirk well enough to have a balanced opinion. Ash is great, though he's more of a cartoon character.

also Kirk kills loads of his loved one...mostly because he has so many...the Edith Keeler episode is one of the best ever made and he has to let Keeler (played no less than Joan Collins) be run over by a truck in front of him after falling in love with her.
