Too much generalization. When you think about it, the definitions of "Geek" are not the same. What is a geek? a person who plays video-games and has a computer? tell that to the jocks on a College campus.

In my experience, the only people who make great lovers are the ones who are not only great listeners, but are comfortable with completely expressing themselves as well.

It doesn't matter if they play or don't play video games or whatever other activity society wants to pigeonhole social groups into.

I think some of the more idiotic women are sometimes quick to take one experience (sometimes a bit short, or second-hand, or imaginary, etc) and use it as they see fit to make some kind of news stand magazine-esque numbered list of why something is good or bad for a particular set of reasons that make some sense in theory, maybe.

Like everything else, the actual practice and reality of it might be staggeringly different. I'd like to see this author say something similar of an MMO zombie or some such.

It's a stereotype, but not one of the ones that the majority of people find offensive. If you tell someone to list the qualities of a geek, a preference of video games and computer related stuff is up there with comic books and being socially awkward.

However I do see your point. Most people have played on some sort of games console, and generally own one, or spend a lot of time on Facebook or whereever yet don't think of themselves as geeks. I don't know why that is though.

Whoever wrote this isn't too bright. Not to mention the definition of 'geek' is kind of strange here.

It's pretty insulting at points.

What did I ever do?
Exactly what I was going to say.

He'll be so happy seeing a real woman naked...
I know it's supposed to be complimentary(!) but that is just insulting.

It's satirical. We make great partners because the chance of meeting a girl are so slim that messing it up is not an option.

The same reaction you got... I don't mind the publicity it may give to us geeks, though...

isn't this really "desperate guys make great lovers"?

of course the reason we make poor lovers are we are physically unfit and generally unattractive so good luck feeling horny enough to do anything with us!
