"Illic est haud deus , tantum elementum".

I hope.

And I love Latin, I'm not particularly great at it and I'm sure my context is off about 90% of the time so to a Latin speaker I'd be talking utter shit. But it's fun.

There's no other language that you can use to walk into a room and proudly announce "Veni" without being kicked out immediately after.

I love Latin.
It makes whatever you say sound more interesting. Or ominous, depending on how you say it.
Especially if you get a bunch of monks to chant it in dead voices. That's awesome.

Sadly, despite two years of Latin class in High School, I cannot speak it at all. Or read it...although to be fair, I never really could do that without a glossary at hand. Hooray for guess and check!
[sup]damn those declensions, I say. Damn them to hell![/sup]

Oh, and here you go:
Illic est haud deus, tantum elementum
EDIT:
DAMN YOU YOU FILTHY RABBIT NINJA!
:p

God is Deus I think... Because Deus ex Machina means God of machines or Machine-God.

EDIT: Although my post may seem very pointless now that the answer is already said...

Fear us, for we are a powerful breed. "Territo lepus" anyone? :D

EDIT: You do realise just how incredibly similar our posts were right? That's kind of..either a scary coincidence or an epic ninj

[small]Ninj spelled purposefully as I have declined the verb even though it is not meant to be declined[/small]

The only latin I know (aside from per se, et cetera and such) is nemo me impune lacessit.
And the only reason I know that is because my gran has the coat of arms of the Order of the Thistle hung up on her wall.

I do think it is a pretty cool language, though. I wouldn't mind learning a little.

Are you sure you can defeat Ninja Rabbits? I mean really, look at that guy, he's like Roger Rabbit... from hell.

And I wouldn't call it a good joke so much as a really really dirty minded play on words. But thanks all the same :D

I also have a new reason to like Latin, it sparks discussions over Ninja Rabbits and their defeat by a Nuke wielding madman with a grudge against all Whalekind! :p

Yes. I'm sure.
I skinned the Trix rabbit, and that thing was on speed or something.
Ninjas are a bit trickier to find, true, but I've had them sent after me.
Damned hippies are really emotionally invested in floating blobs of flesh.

This is true.
And you can't say anything bad about getting a good talk out of things!
Muahahaha.

I personally think Latin should be the international language. It makes everything sound so dramatic.
VICTUS!!! DOMINUS!!! *aaah!!*

Latin is still taught in some schools. Not in all classes of course, but it's next to German or Spanish in my school... but a bit less important than English.

The only phrase I use almost every day is "etcetera" because it's also pretty useful in Spanish when you don't want to say "y mucho mas" or something like that.

For men embittered by love:

sed mulier cupido quod dicit amanti,
in vento et rapida scribere oportet aqua

But a woman's words to her eager lover
Should be on the air and fast-flowing water writ.
