Deus Ex is still a shining example of how a stealth shooter should be done.

The second, not so much. It wasn't bad, it was just horribly mutilated in comparison to the first.

I have little hope for the 3rd. We ARE in the console generation after all.
Sad but true :(

plus I think I have hear them say it was going to be more twich based

but I still will get it because Deus ex is my fav game of all time.

I'll surely check it out. Invisible War wasn't nearly as bad as people said.
Well, Invisible war was not a bad game, but it was a bad sequel. It was basically a very dumbed down version of the original. If it hadn't the name "Deus Ex" in the title, no one one complain (except for the ammo, who the hell thought of that *slap), but here we are now.

Also, I'm a bit confused with DE3. It was supposed to be a sequel to the original, ignoring the Invisible War entirely. Now it's a prequel. Yay.

I'm very sceptic and I expect a mindless shooter, upon which I will cry for taking a dump on the original once again. The auto heal and the cover combat sistem, no limb health and other cool stuff from the original. It's just another dumbed down Deus Ex.

I don't know. Maybe it surprises me and turns out to be fit to my liking. I'm certain it's going to be a good game, but it definitely wont be a "Deus Ex".

but it's just been so utterly surpassed
By what?
Well, first off by its sequel.

A lot of people hated the sequel and thought it was way inferior to the first, but I digress.

Anyways, I agree a lot of games have tried to copy it, but badly.

Honestly if all they did was add a fresh body paint and repackage it, anyone with a memory span less than 9 years would hail it again as the most innovative and freshes game of 2010.

I'm still remaining cautiously pessimistic. A lot of what the lead designer has said has brought my hopes crashing down. I hope I'm proved wrong.

I have little doubt that I'm going to get it. Even if they dumb it down, it's still gotta be better than everything else these days.

I'm definitely getting it on release. I just hope they do like the original, where you can take any mission from any direction, and each way you take has its own reward, rather than the typical "sandbox, but you still are ultimately taking the same path to complete your mission."-style.

I'm very much looking forward to it, only problem I have so far is that our new protagonist, despite being 30 years JC Denton's senior, looks much sleeker than the augmented personel of Deus Ex. Anna Navarre lookes like Johnny 5 with tits yet this guy looks like he was made by apple.

I'm willing to chalk that up to graphics limitations of the day.

Art Direction is not a graphical limitation.
