I think Destroying Panchea might be the canon ending to Human Revolution, it explains why Adam is in the ocean (with the Christ imagery like in Man of Steel), it would explain why we need to upgrade our augmentations from scratch, the explosion killed his augmentations. Adam not sending a message and leaving the world in doubt could be the catalyst for an anti-augmentation uproar.

The cinematic trailer tells us nothing essentially, but the story looks like its got the same themes as Human Revolution, perhaps we might get a choice to side with the Augmentation or Human extremists as the game progresses. I hope that the game can meet the quality of Human Revolution if not succeed it.

Another CGI trailer... sigh

Fuck, I can't wait for the day a game gets announced with a gameplay trailer. Don't show us the story, doesn't matter how great your writing is because at the end of the day if the 'game' part of the game isn't impressive then I can't justify the purchase to myself. Show us what's under the hood, you'll be showing off your game in a more complete state and you'll save money on CGI.

Though I will say if the trailer scenes are anything to go by, the new augments in MD are going for DMC3 levels of amazing, nonsensical, laws-of-physics-ignoring, silly, crazy, spectacle. I like that kind of shit, it's why spectacle fighters appeal to me so much.

I've the impression it's the other way around this time. Official stance is that augmentations are bad and augmented people are a threat - just like mutants in X-Men. And it's the augmented people who create some extremist organizations to protest against them being discriminated and hunted down, instead of having "normal" people protesting against the rise of augmentations in population at large and workforce.

I'm glad they're making this sequel at least one of my 10 games that need them is getting one! But I'm just worried how exciting will the end product be considering how HR's trailers made it cooler then we received while its still a good game and its got a nice premise behind it they did hype it up alot. Hopefully they're keeping this hype closer to the end product and also they focus on the conversation wheel and outcomes more and don't get too caught up in combat which looks like what they want to do. Not to mention Malik and Jenson so need to be a couple or one that the players can have become one over the game!
