Yes I would definitely get augmented. The second video is just fear mongering propaganda, and by some of the reactions in this thread, it worked

. Yeah the neuroprozine thing is a bit scary but at the beginning of the game they had already found out how to make it so that you would never need the drug.. Ever.
But even if I didn't know this I would still get augmented. I'd probably start off with getting an intelligence aug, memory aug, and maybe the social enhancer. The way I see it is yeah the drug is expensive but since I'd be augmented I'd already be ahead of most people. That means I have tons of job options, from accountant, security expert(computers), bouncer/bodyguard, as far as job opportunities go, if I'm sufficiently augmented the skies the limit, plus the social enhancer(personality readings, and pheromones ftw), would almost guarantee me a job. Provided that I applied in person.
So yeah it would be expensive to pay for the drug all the time, but I would probably have no trouble affording it. After I get my self settled I might get some more augs, like eyes, and arms. I think the argument of "giving up your humanity" is a stupid one. If by giving up your humanity, means being weak, and less capable. Then I'd give up being "human" any day.
Also what about the people with pace makers, artificial hearts, and prosthetic limbs today? They obviously haven't given up their humanity. Lastly if push comes to shove with the whole affording drugs things. I'll just go military. If I'm useful enough to them I'm sure they'll pay for my fix.
