Out of curiosity I Googled that guy's name. Jean-Francois Dugas, the lead designer for Deus Ex 3, has worked on the following games.
Far Cry: Instincts - Evolution (2006), Ubisoft, Inc.
Far Cry: Instincts - Predator (2006), Ubisoft, Inc.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (2006), Ubisoft, Inc.
Far Cry: Instincts (2005), Ubisoft, Inc.
Speed Challenge: Jacques Villeneuve's Racing Vision (2002), Ubi Soft Entertainment Software
F1 Racing Championship (2000), Video System Co., Ltd.
F1 Racing Simulation (1997), Ubi Soft Entertainment Software
I guess we can put away all of our fears and concerns to rest. The same man who worked on the legendary Speed Challenge: Jacques Villeneuve's Racing Vision is working on Deus Ex 3.

edit: but this isn't the Deus Ex 3 thread, is it? Anyways I think the most fun way to play Deus Ex is stealthily, but the first time I played the game I just put all my weapon upgrades into my original pistol and it was actually really effective! Heavy Weapons are fun for a while but eventually I always manage to drift back to the Prod

Upgrade the pistol to godlike status, and give me a silencer on my assault rifle, and we're laughing.

It was never one of my favs but it IS one of the ones I try and find in my CD collection at least once a year, just to see if it's the way I remember.

I'm doing a nonlethal run but I can't decide if I should take the Muscle or Combat Strength aug. If I take Muscle I can move things around to build alternate routes. But if I take Combat Strength I won't have to put any points in Low-Tech weapons, letting me master Lockpicking and Elcetronics faster. Then again, I'll have to use my aug upgrade canisters on Combat Strength instead of the more useful augs like Cloak or Speed Enhancement. Any advice from people who have done this before?
edit: Please post (or PM) your computer specs! this will be a great help

I'd have to disagree - The second exposes all three endings of the first. Your point is definitely valid, though - Take 'Deus Ex' out of the title, and it turns into a decent game.
You'd have to change the names of all the major characters otherwise it would be sued into oblivion for copyright infringement.

You'd also have to forget why the "Collapse" happened
You did it!

And maybe forget the whole plot "twist".
Was I the only one who guessed that the D was for Denton from the start?
I meant the mechanics of the game. The story wasn't too bad, it was the gameplay that was hated so much. Had it not been the sequel to Deus Ex, people would have liked it.

And considering that Alex Denton was in one of the tanks at the end of Deus Ex, that was the worst twist ever. Didn't he ever wonder what his initial stood for? And then they give him the option to murder his brothers at the end of the game. Disgusting stuff.
