I watched that scene on Youtube and now I wish I hadn't, it was just horrible...
I can't believe how clichéd it was and how much English iconography they managed to cram into that one small scene.
I one frame I counted Big Ben, a Union Flag, a pub with a Admiral Nelson sign, a football (soccer ball), 2 Hackney carriages (black cabs), 2 red Double-decker buses, a red postbox and red phonebox... the only thing missing was a Pearly King and a Barrow Boy patronising a Jellied Eel stall... and possibly The Blitz.
Yep, there was no doubt the cookie-cutter American family were on holiday in London and quite frankly, the way the unbearably "cute" little girl was carrying on, that bomb van couldn't have come soon enough.
