Now i might be wrong but Naughty Dog don't get as much recognition as they deserve IMO. They have made the Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and the Uncarted games, but are barely mentioned under all of Valve and Bungie praise.

That's just my opinion, but what about you?

True, just don't let Yahtzee hear you praise them. :p

I loved the original Jak and Daxter, but I hated what they did with the sequels. That said, Uncharted 2 was a lot of fun, and I do think that they deserve a little more recognition than they currently receive.

Steam isn't a developer...

But anyhow, they do get a lot of praise. But most of this site is in love with Valve (who I assume you were referring to with Steam) and Bungie is just a fun developer, whether their games are great or not. Naughty Dog is great, but they aren't all that exciting.

Atlus. The Shin Megami Tensei series are all fantastic RPGs, the ones of them I've played at least, Etrian Odyssey and Trauma Centre are both amazing and they've never really made a bad game that I can think of. And yet there was talk not long ago of them going out of business, that's been proven wrong but still that says how underappreciated they are.

I think Epic gets more shit then they deserve on the escapist, and Irrational games, gets very little. Bioshock amazing, System shock, and hopefully Infinite will be great too.

Obsidian is a good dev. Sure their games are buggy as hell usually, but past that they are great at story telling and writing. Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer had easily one of the best stories in any RPG that I've played.

All of us Treasure fans need to band together!

They were Valve's opponents in Round 1 of March Mayhem 2009.

So many comments going "Who?"

>_>

They are the absolute masters of 2-D action games.

The engine guys at epic deserve some applause. People may love or hate Epic's games but nobody seems to care about the guys who worked on the engine and I want to give them a hand for it, its an awesome engine.

CD Projekt RED STUDIO (The Witcher). Frictional games have gotten a bit of critical acclaim due to Amnesia, but I still say they deserve more.

Also; FUNcom. I enjoyed Age of Conan for a while, after the bugs have been fixed, and it's far from the biggest studio in the world, yet it relentlessly tries to take in World of Warcraft and other great MMORPG's. That demands a certain amount of respect.

Cave makes some good if infuriatingly difficult shmups. I think they deserve a nod or two.

And Platinum Games. They're awesome, but nobody talks about them. Vanquish is one of the most awesome TPS' I've played in a while (I so would like if ME3 played like Vanquish).
