The trees around Daimen lit up with red eyes, slobber dripping to the ground from all around him. He turned to try to avoid the unnecessary contact and protect his sister, but as he turned he saw the same image in every direction, he was surrounded, and knew he would have to fight.
Almost as if they had read his mind the demons lunged from the trees hungry for fresh a fresh kill.


As the third demon Arcangelo cuts down touches the floor the first demon rises again, shortly after the second rises, joined by the third. They continue to silently stalking, blood still flowing from their open wounds still flowing freely, leaving a trail of crimson red behind them.
As Arcangelo heard the twigs snap behind him he saw the same three he thought to be dead laughing at him. This fight wouldn't be as easy as he first thought.


A few steps down the overgrown path a hand shot out from beneath Azrael and grabbed his leg tightly. He could feel the hand tightening around his leg; it became apparent the hand was trying to crush it. Azrael knew he had to act quickly to save his leg from any serious damage, or before the demon could call for help when it realises it hasn't picked on easy prey.

Damien saw the eyes. "Well, fuck..."He muttered. He pushed his sister down into a crouch. when she started to voice a complaint, he gave her The Stare, indicating that this was not the time. He wrapped his hands around the sword hilts, ready to fight. the demons leaped. Damien drew his swords faster than thought. They were like streaks of light as they crashed into the demons, cleaving them from head to toe. When the 15 demons had surrounded him, he joined the two swords. while the demons charged, Damien spun the newly created weapon, the air shrieking as it was mercilessly cut by the singing blades. The blades scythed though the demons. More than once a demon got too close to Rose, and was picked off by Damien's claw. When all the demons had been crushed, he helped Rose up, who looked at him in wonder. He wiped off his blades and slid them back into the sheathes. He grunted. "Anyway, let's continue to Alistor's village. Look for anyone else who answered his call. I'm dead sure i would not be the only one."

Jaida looked at him like he was crazy.
"...Your not going to try to kill me and leave my body out in the jungle, are you?"
Hearing the question as it came out of her mouth, she realized that it was a stupid question. 'of course he wouldn't answer truthfully if he wanted to! Idiot! Well...maybe i can amend this if i act quickly...'

Before he could respond she said, "Nevermind, ignore that last question, i'm just being overly cautious. Though it's easy to see why considering that there's rarely a person who would do something for free without dark intentions now'a'days. What's your name? mines is Jaida, just jaida."
'Thinking about it now, wasn't i going to make up a last name? Ah, i'll make one later.(yay procrastionation!)'

Though Taylor became a little bit annoyed by the unexpected overly-cautious attitude towards him, he laughed, and replied.
"Mandz. Taylor Mandz, is my name. I've lived in that village for a number of years, so I know how to get there." He was mildly upset that someone would think of him in such a way, but gave help to anyone he could.
"If you don't mind, we should get going. It's safer in the village than it is here," he said, as he tried to grasp his baggage better, turned towards the forest, and started walking, looking back, and said: "Hey, Jaida, come on!"

 

[Xero Scythe]

Rose yelled out to Damien as he killed yet another demon. "Bro, I see someone! One guy and a girl! They both look like they're here for the guy!" Damien turned around and slid the swords back in the sheaths. He crossed his arms and blocked the road, Rose behind him.

As Jaida replied with a simple "Okay..", the both of them went forward. They saw someone in the forest, standing there, watching them. Behind him was another person.
"Hmph, looks like we have company," Taylor said, putting his hand on the handle of his sword. While the two of them were walking toward the two strangers, he playfully throwed the strings around that he had on the bottom of his handle. He looked at them, and suddenly, somehow, felt stronger and generally his mood got better. He had noticed this a few times before, and now regularly looked at it, when he needed. He suddenly stopped, about 10 meters away from the two humans. He wanted to make sure that they weren't aggressive.
"Hey, who are you guys?" he asked, for a brief moment looking at Jaida.

Jaida walked just a step behind Taylor, trying to memorize the path to the village.
'When are we going to get there? I'm tired, i lost anything i had for a lunch on the boat and i may be headed into a trap. I should ask him how long it takes to get to the village...but i don't want to pester him...maybe...'
She walked right next to taylor and said, "So, how long does it usually take for you...Did you hear something?"
Jaida looked around, convinced that she had heard someone shouting. She soon saw a guy with some girl behind him, standing in the road and looking like they were going to block their path.
She then turned to taylor and asked, "Friends of yours?", at the same time he said, "Hey, who are you guys?"
'Well that answers that.' She thought as she dropped her large container bag, unzipped it, and pulled out her (one could call) make-shift scythe, placing her bag back on her shoulders.
She then shouted at them, "What do you want?"

Damien spoke. "I'm sorry, but I can't say my objective. Everytime I mention His name, more demons come. It's actually quite annoying. Suffice to say, I'm here to stop the demons and the invasion. Now, what are you planning to do?" He placed his hands on his sheathes, ready to fight the stangers if they proved hostile.

 

[Fraught]

"Well, I didn't believe that two humans wouldn't want the invasion to end. That much I suspected. Also, I think I'm pretty sure who you two are searching for," Taylor said, as he, calmly, took his hands away from his sword, and crossed them before his chest, holding his chin with his right hand and rubbing it a little.
"If by 'planning to do' you mean 'do with you two', then nothing. It's pointless to waste energy on any humans, hostile or not, when there are so much so powerful beings out there. Currently, though, I'm going back to my village, and this young lady was going there, so I'm, you could say, her 'tour guide', only without the tour, and more of the guiding," he said, smirking a little.

 

[Xero Scythe]

Damien smiled. Here was someone who could match his silver tongue. "I could care less what you planned to do with us. I know if it was hostile, it would never follow through. Anyway, why do you talk as if you are not human?" Damien's left eye flashed red, then turned to normal. "I can you are human. Anyway, I'm going there as well, and this is the only road in. Trust me, I know. I live on the other side of the mountains. This is my sister, who apparently decided to follow me, and seems to be a demon magnet." Damien turned around. "Well, are you coming or not?" He started to walk once more towards Alistor's village.

Jaida looked at the man in front of them with an appathetic look. She was getting ticked off by this guy. 'Since when were we following this dumbass cretin? If he thinks that i'll follow him then he's got another thing coming...still, i need to get to the village...Aha! I'll just follow taylor instead, after all he is my guide. If he wants to follow him then fine by me but at least i won't be following that cocky jackass.'
She then gave a sigh of relief, she didn't attack the man in front of her and better yet, she was feeling less angered by him. If it had something to do with the plan she just came up with or not she didn't know or personally care but at least it helped.
She then quickly recontained her scythe and turned to Taylor, saying in a low voice, "I'm not following that jerk so i'm gonna follow you instead, okay? Let's go."

 

[Xero Scythe]

Rose bounded towards the two walking behind Damien. "Hi! my name's Rose! What are your names?" She noticed the dirty looks the woman gave to her brother. Rose whispered in the woman's ear. "Oh, don't mind him. He doesn't trust most anyone, really. It's not his fault. Our house was burned to the ground because someone let a secret slip. Parents dead, and the scar on his eye. Trust me, you do not want to see what that devil did to his eye." Damien walked on ahead, seemingly oblivious but aware of his sister's presence.

"Uh, okay?" Jaida said. She immediatlly thought of when he stopped them. 'If you don't trust people, don't you usually try to avoid them instead of stand in their way and demand things of them? Whatever...' she thought while shruging. She wasn't going to try to understand how people think, if they thought in a weird way then it's just their way, and she wasn't going to go out of her way to understand.
Now back to the person infront of her. "My name is Jaida and i guess i can understand alittle. It's hard for me to trust people too. In fact, i still have some doubts about Taylor here, no offence." She said, turning to taylor for a second and saying, "To your credit, you've earned some of my trust faster that almost everyone i've met." before turning back to Rose and saying, "...uh...I forgot what i was getting at...oh yeah, The fact is that i can relate."

Alistor stepped out of his home and simply stood outside the door, standing tall, his hands behind his back and a slight smile on his face.
They're coming. My fighters will be here soon, finally there's hope.
Alistor's eyes lock on to the fortified gate of the village waiting for it to swing open with the people he had summoned.

Rose shook her head. "My brother isn't like that. He usually likes to face a problem head on, instead of avoiding it. He thinks he's gonna have to face it sooner or later, so he likes to save his time. That, and he is really protective. Also, I don't think you can relate. Trust me. When you see his left eye, you'll know what i mean."

Damien waved his hand at them to get their attention. "Hey, we're almost there." The gate became visible on the horizon.

Slightly discontinuous with my previous post, I didn't know the village was walled, but I don't think it matter much.

Akio looked into the village from his vantage point in a tree. He saw a man step into view form one of the house, the first sign of life he'd seen yet. The man was strange, he seemed to be in almost a dreamlike state, gazing at the wooden gate directly in front of him.

As Akio sifted in order to begin climbing down he saw another group beyond the gates. He froze for a moment, thinking it may be roaming demons before he caught another glimpse. They seemed human and armed which meant they were likely here for the same purpose as he was. Climbing down, Akio ran to meet up with the group before they went through the gates.

 

[Xero Scythe]

Damien dropped back. "Hey, Jaida, mind if i talk to you for a little?" He gave his swords to Rose. "Here, now you know i don't plan on killing you. Now, let's go." He said, propelling her somewhat forcefully. He took her into the forests, where they could not be seen by anyone else. Damien grabbed Jaida by the front of her shirt and held her against a tree. His eye changed once again. It became crimson red, with a pentacle surrounding the pupil. An Ouroboros connected the five points of the star. He saw Jaida flinch away from him, in fear of his eye. "I can see your true nature, half-demon." He snarled. "My sister trusts you, so I decided not to bring this up in front of the others. But if you even think of hurting her, I will kill you. Understand?" He let her drop to the ground. He walked away, hands in his pockets. His eye changed back to normal. He called back to Jaida, still walking. "Follow, if you don't wish to be left behind." They reached the others. Damien thanked his sister for holding his swords and put them back on.

Jaida looked on at Damien, thinking back on their encounter in the forest. 'I should have slapped him, no, i should have beat the living shit out of him for that stunt, grabbing me like that. What does he have to fear from me anyways? I don't have any demonic powers or anything like that. If his eye is so powerful then he should be able to tell that! Bastard...'

She continued thinking these thoughts as they walked into the village. Looking around, jaida said to taylor, "So this is where you lived."

Figured we should speed this arrival up. Also, just in case your wondering, Jaida hasn't retaliated against Damien yet since she doesn't want the knowledge of her being a half demon to be revealed.
