Diablo III Coming in "The Next Few Years"

I wouldn't be surprised if this changed depending on how well things go with Cataclysm and SC2 getting finished. I played D3 at the last two BlizzCons, and it looked pretty fucking near finished to me, even in '08.
My guess is that Blizzard is hedging their bets: if things go sideways with Cataclysm and SC2, they don't piss anyone off because they didn't commit to D3 in '10, but if they meet their milestones for those two, they can be heroes to the fanboys by accelerating the release.

Worst news ever. Why would anyone want lame RTS game and boring MMO game before epic Hack and Slash awesomeness of Diablo III.
Its times like these that make me glad I stopped caring about anything Blizzard does ever since they decided it was totally cool to let us wait more than a decade for the sequel to Starcraft, and then, since we'd, you know, waited over a decade, we wouldn't mind buying the sequel 3 times instead of just the once (at full price each time or I will eat my non-existent hat!).
Screw Blizzard and their games, screw them I say! There is only so much crap I can take from a developer before I stop cutting them any slack on account of the goodwill their previous games generated - Blizzard reached that and has long since kept going.

Few million Koreans or not, they shouldn't be pushing Diablo III so far back. If they are going to wait until 2011, or 2012, or 2013 they mine as well not have announced the damn game for a year or two instead of pissing everyone off by announcing it then making us wait forever.Amnestic said:

...God. I knew it wasn't going to be in 2009 or 2010, but damn. "A Few Years"? Just more reasons to hate World of Warcraft. Also, why the hell did they announce it so early if it may come out in 5 years? I'm a really, really hardcore Diablo fanboy, and even I won't wait for a game that has been coming out for half of my life (I'll be 22 in 5 years, so it would be 14 years of waiting - even more than half).
