I don't mind Miranda, nothing special but I still don't want her dead.

My fav characters this far (I still have to get the last three) are Mordin, Jack and Garrus with special mention to Grunt.

Jack doesn't hide her intentions, so she gets a gold star for that and also when you're being a good guy, it's nice to know that you can still annoy someone by doing so.

Mordin, well he's fast talking (a little fast at times) and has a sense of humour without turning into a conplete comic relief character. I think that's the main reason and something that many games designs could lear from because funny doesn't mean that they lose all their seriousness.

Garrus...well he's just one of the charatcers I take a liking to, he manages to be pretty cool without overdoing it.

So where does Miranda fit into this, well she's slightly snobbish at times but she has to be to do her job. She acts cold until you save her sister and then you see some humanity shinning through. Basicly she's a decent character that could use a little improvement..and more facial expression

No I didn't like her, something about her annoyed me. Might be how she comes off as a Lapdog for Cerberus, might be how she claims to be perfect, something about her made me dislike her, 'Ell I borderline hated her.
Claims to be perfect? I'm guessing you never talked to her more than once nor did you do her loyalty mission...Or you just skipped all of the dialouge.

I liked her.
I did everyone's loyalty mission. I even trained my character to use her special power, I just didn't like that she said anything about being perfect, even if she says something that means it didn't work.

I also harbored a natural hate for her based off nothing in particular, I tend to do that sometimes.
What I meant is, she doesn't just claim to be perfect, she was genetically engineered that way by her father.

I feel a little worried if he picked some genes to give her the perfect ass...

I liked her well enough, she had a better backstory than Kaiden, at the very least. I think Bioware really hit a home run on this one, none of your party members are really bland, whereas Kaiden definitely was in the first one, and although I like her, one could make a case for Liara being bland as well.
what about ashely? her only strange feature was that she was racist.
Yes, but she was characterized well besides that, plus she had an inner conflict throughout the game as, if you encourage her to do so, she becomes less racist. That's also why I tend to go easy on Liara: she had the mother (heh) of all internal conflicts, and came out of it strong. What conflict did Kaiden have? His headaches? Admittedly, they're supposed to be oh-my-god-I'm-going-to-die terrible, but we're only told that by third parties, he never talks about it. As if that wasn't confusing enough, the fact that he doesn't talk about it was one of the few reasons I actually did like him: he had problems, but he was no whiner. A nice change in some ways, but it makes for bland characters.

She was like Ashley in the first one for me. I did not like her much at all to begin with, but after a while she grew on me.

She was okay, yeah. I personally disliked Jack, that whiny *****.

I liked it when at the end

I know Shepard says the Illusive Man to fuck off if you decided to blow up the Collectors, but I can't recall Miranda saying that ... ? Where exactly does she do that?

Im Commander Shepherd and this is my favorite thread.

on a serious note. Miranda would agree that giving illusive man the collector base is to dangerous

I liked her a lot. I thought her caracter was pretty well written. She's been groomed to be perfect, but is not perfect and that's just it. She is smarter, her body is faster, deadlier, but emotionally she's about as broken down as you can get. She tries to be miss proper but in the end, she's just a beauty queen with daddy issues. I thought that was well done.

However, I am partial to Yvonne's voice and face, thanks to 'Chuck' so, I would be a biased source.

Oddly enough, both of the two characters you start the game with...I really didn't like. Their characters were flat and uninteresting with bland personalities that were exacerbated by the terrible voice acting for both.

Miranda holds no interest for me, especially since I don't even find her appealing, sexually.

Still, twas I who benefited most. Also i thought it was strange how her clothes somehow went up her arsecrack, she must have had a serious wedgie or rash.

Thought it was comical that she was Australian. Aussies do get around, suppose it makes sense you'd find one in space. Illusive man musta had a bar in his base... (joke)

If you bring Miranda along as a squadmate to the final boss battle, afterwards, when the Illusive Man insists you preserve the Collector Base and you disobey him, he turns to Miranda and orders her to force you. She basically says "fuck you" I've had enough, "consider this my resignation". It's awesome.

Lol, back where I used to live, the Aussie consulate used to do this thing every Friday afternoon where they would change the consulate into a social bar after work and invite the British consulate people over to get drunk. Never went cause a bunch of my friend's parents would turn up, but it probably did wonders for their country's PR.

I thought Miranda was a stuck-up ugly *****, and my dislike for her only increased when my attempts to off her in the finale cost me four likable teammates as well. >.>

I thought Miranda was a worth while person to have...but I would have rather had Urdnot Wrex there...Because he could actually ABSORB damage unlike Miranda who would get shot and then I would have to use unity to fix her...

No, I don't hate her...
and the reason she keeps bringing up her genetic tailoring is because
it really bothers her. She feels like she can't take credit for any of
her work or achievements. She is not a shrew... unlike say... Morrigan.
Speaking of which, even the shrewish character in ME2 (Jack) is still pretty
damn sympathetic.

My favorite characters though are: Mordin, Thane, Tali, and Garrus.

Are you kidding me? I loved her! She's one of my favourite characters and my top squadmate.

She and Shepard have an awesome love/hate relationship (that is, if you pick her as your romantic interest). He's the hot-headed bastard, she's the cold *****.
The scene where they randomly start making out was hilarious, especially Sheppy's smug grin at the end.

Also, she doesn't blindly follow orders like most of the team do. If she thinks something is wrong, she'll stand up and argue with Shepard, hence the love/hate relationship.

At the very end, she's the most loyal character.
If you choose to blow up the ship at the end of the game, Illman orders her to stop you but she respectfully tells him to go fuck himself.

the whole crew gets kidnapped and the first idea that pops into her head is "let's go screw on the floor of the engine room!"
I still don't get it - why they didn't go to the captain's quarters? I guess they like putting up a show.

That's a part of her charm.

I know I didn't, she just came off as too perfect and what made me hate her was that she complained about being perfect.I would have let her die during the suicude mission if I wasn't trying to keep my whole team alive,So is it just me or was she annoying for you too?
I liked her. Maybe it's the slight accent (I'm American), maybe it's that she's pale, or maybe just because in terms of Mass Effect characters, she's one of the hottest. Regardless, she's more interesting than the average ME character, so I kind-of like her

At exactly the point you just mentioned, she was on my team during that section and that was her reaction to my decision.

she isn't necessarily a *****, just is doing her job and obviously is damn good at doing it

out of all the characters, from me1 and me2, she has the nicest ass out of both crews
Agreed, that is one fine genetically-engineered ass.
yeah after i got a glimpse of that, there was no going back on possibly hating her, i sided with her on fucking everything, fuck if i could i would have shot jack on sight for argueing with her lol

I didn't like her until her quest because she seemed too cold and uninteresting.
She helps her sister escape the people trying to take her back to her father. I was like: Wow, she does have feelings.
