I saw an ad for a game called "Wet" that's to be released for the 360 and the "PS3?"
Guess my home is cave because I didn't know Sony had a PS3 coming out.

Uhm.... indeed is rather hard to believe that you didn't hear of the PS3 so far... but... in short terms:

PS3 launched, wasn't toooooo successful (3rd rank on current consoles being sold) and already a Slim version was released this September for 300 bucks (after initially 600 bucks in average for the first-gen console) and while the slim now sells better Sony is about to snatch rank 2 of the most sold consoles of this generation.

Horrendously overpowered hardware (for when it started) and basicly the kind of exclusive collectors console that you get to hope for an RL-achievement or if you like really really good looking games as such.

That's about my (puny) summary of the PS3, in case you were serious. If not: well, I had fun typing it

OT: It's been out for a long time now, the successor to the PS2. The PS3 "slim" was released recently but still, for someone who has been on this forum (a gaming forum no less) since August 2008, I find it hard to believe that the OP hasn't even seen a passing glance or reference of the PS3 before, what with all the flamewars and fanboys and Little Big Planet floating about.

The PS3 has never outsold the 360. And the slim was released on September 1st or thereabouts so it's only been out for one quarter of the market year (Q3 of the financial year). It's own sales have increased yes, by about 1000% but it only outsold the wii and 360 for week 36.
