Yes trillions upon trillions of bytes of data about a real world wonder that folks are embarassed to be caught having. An industry that can quite easily be clean and fun is demonized and as a result is left with many unnecessary problems that could be effortlessly avoided (not unlike prostitution).

However you do provide a good point of just how important it is. I'm not sure anything outnumbers porn on the internet.

Reminds me of the stories before WWII of men moving to military bases from their rural farm lives and finding out that being gay isn't a deformation, finding out that other folks are gay too. The internet has done that with sexuality, people are finding out that what they like and what they desire isn't as unique as they once thought. That there are plenty of folks out there as curious or adventurous as they are.

Good stuff, its nice when people find out that they aren't as alone as that angry fellow preaching from a soap box says. Well folks will always be looking for some way to help them forget that they are living at a standard that is below what they desire. In the US especially cognitive dissonance is running rampant. People are not only not practicing what they say (or preach) but in fact living in the exact opposite of such things. It's unhealthy and results in conflicts that could be otherwise avoided.

My point to YOU was that if you are truly comfortable with who you are, there is nothing you 'need to defend'. Because nobody should be able to stop you from being you and if you are truly worried enough to 'defend' who you are then you might have more problems with yourself than others do.
