The last two episodes of Andor were the same boring slog the first two episodes were. And it's likely that the next episode will be full of action, like the third episode was.

Whoever came up with this idea is a dick. The show remains well acted with excellent production values, but good God, there is not a thing in these episodes that makes them worth watching.

Shitty lawering aside, everything else that you said is just... completely missing the whole point.

Like, completely missed it. Gone.

Different stratosphere.
I mean everything I complained about it literally what happened. Thinking something else other than what literally happened happened is missing the whole point.
She Hulk was slut shammed and it worked. People did turn on her. The cops did arrest her and not the weird incels. She did immediately fall for DareDevil after being humiliated by him in court. She did attend a gala she thought was in her honor but turned out to be an all women are special moment.
What do you think happened in that episode?!

Watched Werewolf by Night. It was great. Lots of fun, very much captured the feeling of a Universal monster movie, and Michael Giacchino needs to direct more stuff.

You are right that that is literally what happened, but it sounds to me like you have taken these scenes completely at face value, and completely missed the subtext along the way.

Like, the scene with the gala, for example. You complaining that this turned out to just be a participation award for women, is just preaching to the choir. The show knows its stupid, the characters know it is stupid, the characters literally complain about the whole thing once they find out. The scene doesn't contribute to your interpretation that the show "hates women", it is trying to shine a light on the shit that women go through at these kind of events. Thats the whole point.

The show wears its intentions on its sleeves pretty obviously, and if anything, pretty heavy handedly. Im not sure how you came to the conclusions that you did.

One thing Im still kinda mystified about is what the terrorists plan was with the she-hulk incident. They made this big deal of revealing "This is who she really is" or something and then its just a spy cam of her having sex, like a normal person. So was the only point to pray she gets mad enough to cause an incident or did I miss something? And even then, who wouldn't get mad? Big whoop she caused more destruction in that parking garage. Realistically shed pay a fine everyone would be like "yeah she got revenge porned, anyone would try and destroy that screen if their parents were forced to watch them fuck"

Maybe I missed something idk. I also dont like that guy who's clearly a terrorist just running away from the scene. Irl that guy would have been snagged instantly.

Thats my only complaint about the show. Sometimes its writing is that "meh audiences are dumb theyll gloss over it." lackadaisical writing that disrespects its audience. It also kinda irked me that DD makes this big tado about stealth and then immediately nonchalantly alerts the whole building and it looks cool so the audience will just forget they literally just had a discussion about being quiet and he didn't even remotely try.

I think Id be more annoyed if it were a big budget hour long show, but the show is such low investment that its just comfort food. Still makes me mad to watch shows like Barry or House of Dragon where substantially more effort is put into consistency in writing, whatever their imperfections. Granted this show is far from the worst when it comes to lazy writing on the marvel shows so Ill give it that. I attribute some of that to the contemporary setting. All the She-hulk writers have to do is write regular people in a comedy drama. Thats far easier to do than in something like Loki or Falcon America which needed to have smarter story writing due to the complexity of the concepts being introduced.

The real question is "should I go back and try to catch on Rings Of power?" cause Ill tell you have to stop watching in episode 5 cause it was so fucking boring I started to wonder if it was sucking out my soul like a mortal Kombat fatality.

But that's the problem with bad satire. The fine line between trying to be a satirical take on something, and just being that thing. I'm reminded of the line from Zero Punctuation that a deliberately annoying character is still annoying.
Writing a scene were She Hulk is slut shammed as some deep metaphor for what women go through only works if you change it up. If people see a She Hulk sex tape, illegally recorded no less, and instantly turn on her and blame her and ostracize her, you're not doing a break down of what revenge porn can do to a woman, you're just having a woman suffer from revenge porn. You're not showing She Hulk is the victim, you're showing she's the criminal. For being a consenting adult who has sex with other consenting adults.
And it worked. The entire gala, coworkers, even the police all turn on her for daring to be angry, for bitching and trying to stop cyber terrorists.

That's the problem with She Hulk. The writers may have meant for it to be a dive into all the pressures a young woman go through in the modern world, but they didn't say anything about those pressures. All they did was, ironically, unironically subject Jen to a bunch of horrors. Same bullshit people tried to do with the new Tomb Raider games. Thinking getting the shit kicked out of a character counted as character development. Same with She Hulk. The writers thought having horrible things happen to Jen is the same as having said something about horrible things happening to women. But they didn't. They just did the thing.

Oh you didn't miss anything. She was illegally recorded having sex, and was shamed for it. That was the plan. And for whatever reason, it worked. No one stood up for her, no one was aghast at the invasion of her privacy. Nope. It was just an unironic slut shamming move.

It all happened in the span of like 30 seconds, most people were just reacting. I saw a lot of mouths agape. Yeah I just rewatched, the crowd is still like wtf when she hulks out. Nobody was calling her a whore or anything. idk we can bet on it, but I think most people are gonna take her side that it was pretty messed up and pointless thing to do. If anything I expect to see next episode be a morality analog on how women go through this kinda shit all time. I disagree that the shows "hates" women. I think they are, however heavy-handed, like them giving awards to all the ladies, in effect making it a meaningless award and being shit about it, calling out societal stereotypes. I think you're looking for handmaids tale a Marvel show. I think what they are doing is suitable for the context. I say we wait and see, maybe next episode will dive a little into the fall out of revenge porn. Though the funny thing is, shes not even in the video and its two clothed vague people climbing in bed. I've had loved ones go through that, coulda been far far worse for her.

It is interesting that the Governments "hulk buster squad" specifically was waiting for her outside. They have the soundwave cannon and everything. I'm thinking now this was setup for some nefarious purpose related to her blood samples we will see next episode.

I think the show is not the smartest or most complex, but I don't think it's just being mean for the sake of being mean.

Yeah I found that odd too. Maybe its like an insurance thing? Any event a Hulk goes to needs anti-hulk security? But you're right, they were right there ready to go with advanced equipment. Like just outside waiting. Probably has to do with her blood, but the show does just kinda drop storylines every now and then. Like Titania trying to kill an entire jury and smashing an entire court room, and then boom next episode that's all taken care of, no harm no foul.
The blood thing might be a hook for season 2, or an excuse to get Jen into DareDevil Born Again, which I personally would love to see their relationship continue. Or maybe its set up for a Marvel movie? Maybe something in phase 6, or maybe getting her blood away from terrorists is the plot of the Thunderbolts.

My friend and I think that the person gathering the blood is Samuel Sterns, aka the Leader, who is confirmed as the villain in Captain America 4: This Time He's Black, so my guess is plot hook.

That would be pretty meta, but Captain 4 is also a direct sequel to Falcon so its completely within reason. What a world to live in. My dad and I joke sometimes about those shitty comicbook stop motion cartoons he grew up with and trying to fathom what we have today.

Five Days at Memorial on Apple + Episode 1&2 4/5

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Knowing that a story is based upon something real adds something for me. I'm just amazed at how dangerous life can be and how brave and self sacrificial people can be. How hard choices have to be made at times.

This is based upon real events regarding hurricane Katrina. A hospital dealing with survival in one of the worst storms of the century. Timely given what just happened in Florida.

I'm confused. Not finding this on SciFi (just created a new account to try to see this!) then went to youtube TV. Closest I got is...
View attachment 7125

I'm thinking this is the wrong show...

EDIT: IMDB says try on View attachment 7126

2nd Edit: tried Freevee brought me to Amazon Prime. It is there. Checking the show out now, thanks for the referral!

I bought it on Google Play

I'll just warn you the Google Play version has the final episode of season 1 split into two and the first part is of the final episode is actually last on the play order for some reason so I'd advise if you're going to buy it go for a version on Amazon

You're not wrong. Whatever it was trying to be, it was definitely...something, and people have opinions.
I haven’t watched the show, but have read about enough of its faults to surmise the twisted irony that this sort of puppet-like character was meant to symbolize merely feels like…well, spraying whipped cream on dogshit.

HotD: Episode 8

So two big things happen here, including another “Daemon gone wild” moment, but perhaps what intrigued me most was the actor portraying Vaemond segueing into first person when justifying his character’s actions in the “Behind the Episode” short. That’s what I call committed!

Anyways, I get the feeling shit’s about to hit the fan, which will hopefully close out the season on a high note. My biggest concession thus far would be that we’ll probably be seeing even more jarring time jumps ahead, with hundreds of years of gapping to bridge.

I don't mind the time jumps all that much. My only nitpick would be that we miss out on the reactions to certain events by constantly cutting 6-10 years into the future. Like I wanna see the king's reaction to his daughter marrying her uncle, or really anybody's reaction, especially since it was such a taboo point during the first half of the season. Instead we just go from the secret marriage scene to six years into the future when everybody already knows and doesn't care anymore.

Dragon's House Episode 8

I think the series was ultimately successful in convincing the audience that war is unavoidable. That none of the main players are paper thin villains. I enjoyed the feeling of each side that losing is a death sentence. Whats more its impressive that they had the gall to do it in 8 episodes. If this were AMC wed be 8 seasons in before the sense of a climax is felt. I wouldn't compliment it with a comparison to Shakespeare, but certainly redeems the producers from the trash that was the latter half of GOT.

Its just nice to see one of these shows move at a nice clip and each episode feel like it has a beginning and an end.

Hopefully this thing sticks the landing. Id like to see this story end in the next episode for this particular group of players. I dont need three more seasons of these people giving each other the stink eye.

If there are gonna be three more seasons I want to see a jump to a new cast.
