First thing, sorry but I can't stop laughing at the guards on mechanize stilts. Ok I take it knocking them over won't be a easy tasks. I bet there are some "despot" for them to take a piss while still on stilts (pretty much a high rise toliet).

Overall the game look like a early mechanical (can't call it steampunk seeing SajuukKhar is annoyed that word being used in the trailer since there's no steam in the video) version of Thief/ Assassin Creed.

When I read the Game Informer cover story I thought...did someone hack into my mind and begin created one of my dream games based on what they found?! This is gonna be so good!

I usually try to avoid getting into hype too much, but I can't help msyelf with Dishonered.

When I saw those mechanised stilt-guards and knew about the Half-Life influence, I had to ask myself - are these tall guys just here to supply the tall-thing fix fans of the aforementioned game need?
Or is that what qualifies for innovative and original enemies these days? Regular enemies on stilts?

How is it a Bioshock rip-off? Only similarity I see is the theme which is steam-punkish.

Either than that I don't see any Big Daddies or underwater cities.

I like how a lot of people are correcting other people by saying that it's not steampunk and not made by Bethesda and yet they completely ignores it.

Steampunk =/= Steam Powered

From what I understand, steampunk is basically science fiction as conceived from a victorian perspective, which means that steam-powered gadgetry is common, but not necessary.

Actually Steampunk is dependent on things powered by steam.

Bethesda is doing a large amount of work here?

So we should expect the game to crash often, and require fan made patches to even run at a suitable level? And PS3 users are screwed?

Arkane [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkane_Studios] is making this game. Bethesda is publishing it.

And while the game isnt technically steampunk, it does have a steampunk aesthetic. People respond to the aesthetic more than what happens to power things.

I hate the first person camera angle so, so much. That's not what a normal person's field of vision looks like.

The slogan sounds like the sort of stupidly macho crap that appeals to ten year old boys, so I'm going out on a limb and saying this is going to be another badly written wank-fest. The visuals look good but I'm not really expecting anything more than passable plot-wise, and I think I'm being optimistic with that.

And how many opening cinematics are there going to be that involve a burly, shirtless man receiving some sort of brand/tattoo/mark and going "grrr burr hurr" as if he really needs to scratch his taint but can't get through his jeans.

It looks a bit to much like Assassins Creed to me :/ I really like the Steampunk idea though that's cool. I love stealth games so I hope it's actually a stealth game and not just a combat game with parkour.

Edit, watched the video above and it sounds like you can have some degree of stealth so that's nice.

Of all the ways they could have phrased the slogan and retained the same basic sentiment, they had to write it the way that would piss me off the most. They didn't even spell honour properl- FUCK YOU SPELLCHECKER. It does too have a "u" in it.

The parkour plus the theme...gah this looks freaking awesome. The implied Nazi-fighting...it's like the good parts of Wolfenstein plus Bioshock plus the good parts of Brink/Mirror's Edge. Hopefully.
