Session today consisted of establishing the former Goblin Compound as our new base of operations. There is only one entrance, which leads to a tunnel only one person can go through at a time, so it is defensible. There is also a hot spring which may serve as a source of pure water for us. The nearby woods supply timber (which we have used to build an outhouse), but the surrounding area is mostly hills and grass, so we can see enemies coming if they do. We bought some furniture and such, but there were already beds for us. We have put up posters in town advertising ourselves as mercenaries for hire and hope to see some business from that.
We are currently in the process of looking for better weapons at the smithy, but the smith's apprentice (whom we met earlier) has some problems. We were just leaving to speak to him in private when we ended the session.

PS: I bought a 10ft metal pole from a smith in town, and took the liberty of adding a hook and point to one end, just in case.

keep the groupe diverse to a limit. In a PERFECT party (of 6), you'll have the guy that wants to play the fighter, the guy that wants to play the healer, and so on. try to play with those guys. you'll have alot more fun with a groupe thats different than a bunch of fighters.
My example for this is my 2ndE charecter "Bob the rat-slaying-paladin". our wizards familiar was a rat. 'Nuff said XD

Whoa, I didn't even realize that that was what my avatar is, but I love that game
the post originally asked if your avatar came from FFTA(2), but then I looked more closely, and edited it down to just "Nice Avatar" because it very clearly is identical

FFTA is one of my favorite games. but FFTA2 was a bit of a disappointment to me, the difficulty curve seemed messed up, and I got stuck. Maybe I'll try again some day
