Just heard about the swine flu thing and there is already talk of Vacatnation (sorry can't spell it)

My friend who just had the cancer Jab had it done at school she had to go 3 times for the same jab because they kept missing the vein

In two years time i have to have my TB jab and my Maleria jab (is it?) Now i dont feel very confortuble in the fact that shuch a scary and dangerous Jab is being handled by idiots

I would like to know your opinions about "Do doctor care about patients"

I would like to hear any doctor that are amoung the escapies to prove me wrong because my local doctor seems to be a surgeon not a doctor?

I think any surgeons on The Escapist will be offended by that statement...

Edit: and on-topic it depends on the doctor. Generally doctors aren't very well practiced at giving needles, that is why they are bad at it. Nurses are generally more experienced (as doctors delegate the task to them) and will usually find a vein more quickly with less pain. Note also that how easy/difficult it is to find a vein depends on the person; your friends experience may be atypical.

Im guessing you are asking about GPs, yea i would say most general practitioners care for their patients in some way or another. They certainly wont call you at home to ask about your day, but its in their hypocratic oath to do the best job they can with any patient. Now you not liking needless or vaccinations is a different story.
There both the same story my GP litterly shoved my Flu Jab in my arm and i swear to god he hit the bone..because there was blood everwhere and i was in pain..Jabs don't normally hurt that much

"the cancer Jab" Is that as hilariously screwed up as it sounds? :D

And they're called shots, your attempt at humor fails because your grammar and spelling is so bad that everyone took you seriously!

YOU'RE BACK! I wish I could jump through the intrawebs and hug you!

EDIT: What's this, I was sensed? Hawt.

It hurts like hell to do it slowly. Trust me. It's way worse. Sure it might be more accurate, but the pain can sometimes be enough to send a little kid into shock. It's like putting a needle through a balloon. If you can putt it through fast and gentle enough, the balloon won't pop and the needle will be stuck in it (needle will have to be kinda big actually. Maybe a nail...).

Presumably he means the cervical cancer jab.

Of course they care. They wouldn't be jabbing you full of meds if they wanted you to die, now would they?

Or maybe for their paycheque. I guess the answer is some do and some don't. I think the best doctor I've ever had was this one Medic in TF2.

Oh man up. It's just a jab. When I went in for an operation it took the nurse four attempts over both hands. Even then they couldn't find a vein, so they tried my forearm. Twice. None there.

I ended up with a valve in the crook of my elbow.

Also, type your words properly. Spell checkers are easy to find.

I doubt it. I don't blame them either, as long as they care about their percentages I know they'll do whats in my best interests. I'd rather have a good doctor ignore me then a bad doctor who cries himself to sleep over my death.

Shots, not jabs ("a Malaria shot"). Even if your doctor is an idiot administering a shot is one of the simplest medical procedures in the history of medicine. At worst he'll break the needle (extremely unlikely) or miss the vein (just pull it out and try again, no harm done).

And I would say that in general doctors do care about their patients, but I'm not a doctor.

Seconded. Try re-wording your post. But yes, doctors do care. Surgeons are doctors, and getting an inoculation doesn't mean they hate you, it just means you have small veins that are hard to locate.

Of course doctors care about patients. The whole needle thing has an explanation beyond "they're dumb and can't do it right". Some people's veins move around more than others; they tend to "roll" when the needle touches them. Ask my dad. He's been to several doctors, and they reliably have a bit of trouble with his veins.

A Surgeon is just a Doctor with a God complex.
