Of course this discussion is going to primarily going to come down to: Majority vs Idiots.
Most doctors are caring, compassionate individuals who can become so engrossed in their work of helping folks that they can lose sight of everything else (family, friends, etc).
There are obviously the exception to every rule. I don't wish to talk about them
Here's an example. Where I grew up, there was only one pediatrician for a city of about 50000-75000 people. Not the best system, but universal health care does that sometimes. It also limits the number of patients you are legally allowed to take on. This doctor, would literally work from 7am until 9pm, daily just to ensure that the children in his community were healthy. Taking on far more patients than he was legally allowed for no other benefit than ensuring health.
Whenever anyone hates on doctors, that man will always come to mind. Not saying that anyone was hating, just a generalization.
