Do homosexual gender types exist?

So fellow Escapists, can you enlighten me? Do all couples have a "girly one" and a "manly one" regardless of actual gender or sexual preference?

Like everyone else, I doubt it.

I mean, I'm a nerdy, sensitive, caring guy. My girlfriend is also nerdy, sensitive and caring. Neither of us is "GRRR MACHO!!!".

No.

Come to think of it, none of the homosexual couples I've known are like that. I'm sure there are some that are, but it's certainly not universal in either homosexual or heterosexual couples.

My relationship doesn't seem to be in accordance with gender types... I guess we're both pretty feminine.

To me though most straight relationships do seem to have one dominant element... but that's probably because I'll never truly understand them.
