I'm 6'3" and my problem is finding womens who aren't way shorter than I am.

If you're talking about stature, then I can say from first-hand experience without flattering myself in the slightest: lord, yes. I was trying to avoid messing around with females in highschool, but being the tallest guy out of 800 (to my knowledge; odds are, there had to be one or two taller than me that I never saw), I was given constant attention despite my best efforts to drive everybody away. I got so tired of being scrutinized and singled out for something I had no control over, that I developed a drinking problem.

The problem is, I DIDN'T stare. It was face, face, face, left boob, right boob, face. Quick and efficient. But the mere fact that my gaze happened across her bosom seems to have offended her, which doesn't make sense to me, considering the dress she was wearing.

As for the whole 'gawking is done by everyone' thing... I find it kind of rude one way or another, male or female. I was taught the 2 second rule... if you can't look, assess attractiveness, and look else where in less than 2 seconds, than its probably best you don;t commit it to memory. And if you can't stop yourself from giggling, or commenting to your 'bros' how nice that chicks rack is, than go the hell home, pervert.

And I mean that the bad stereotype shouldn't just fall on men, cause girls do it too. I'm not saying it should be done, I'm just saying it shouldn't be just a man's fault. I see it happen all the time. The girl goes to her gaggle and says about how shallow and nasty he is because she caught him looking and two seconds later they're drooling over Taylor Lautner.

5'5 guy here, I weigh 143 pounds. I'm short (partly due to some trouble with my back), but I'm pretty muscular. Problem is, I'm pretty damn shy and have trouble adequately conveying my feelings to women. Actually, social interaction as a whole is a little problematic for me.
Anyways.
I don't know if women like chubby people. I do know they generally like people taller than themselves.
And I'm unlucky, I have a crush on this girl who's 5'8. Maybe dating her would be a little awkward?

If you mean 'a little overweight but still healthy' that's acceptable.

But if he's obese, than no. Call me shallow all you want. Four hundred pounds of fat is not attractive at all.

It's not necessarily the size that matters. It's whether or not a guy knows what he's doing with it.

I've talked with a lot of women on issues of attraction, and in all honesty., I think upbringing plays a larger role than genetics. Another thing to consider is that there are varying tastes. Some men are considered generally attractive, but that doesn't mean that guys that are not don't get their share of looks too. For example, I've known two women (one of which was a really hot dead ringer for Lindsay Lohan back before she.... well, you know...) that thought Steve Buscemi was really attractive and he's skinny, pasty, and sort of looks like Don Knotts mixed with a chihuahua. On the other hand, I've known women that really dug John Goodman.

So really, you just can't generalize what women are attracted to. It's just as irrational as any emotion people experience.

Too true. Just like guys worry about hurting a woman's feelings if she asks if her pants make her booty look big, a lot of women I know tend to say whatever they think will help them escape any drama or hurting someone's feelings, usually by saying something about how it really doesn't matter or they don't really want a guy that's well endowed. It's just the same as guys with breasts (only those are more readily gauge-able).

OT: Seriously a bit of weight isn't a problem in my experience. I've found If you don't worry about the weight/height problem, the chicks don't seem to notice either.

I mean, I can be considered a pretty big guy since I'm 6'1 and have a giant frame and a barrel chest. Though I'm very thin at the same time.

I find it depends on the Area. My friend in Vancouver BC is on the large size and does not find any trouble going on dates. However on the Atlantic side I find it tough and I am smaller than he is by a few pounds.

Genetically speaking, yes, as big guys represent a greater chance of survival for their babies.

Don't know if with the greater emphasis placed on materialism in today's society that's still true though.

There's a direct correlation between largeness and survival? You do recognise why there is a reason why there is polymorphism represented by the vast array of human phenotypes right? Not everyone is massively built and 6' for a reason. Diet and long term Darwinism as per adaptation to local environment.

Can you honestly say that height would help you whilst spelunking in caves seeking refuge from storms, or when tracking prey through dense forest?

For example ... given a 'big guy' has reduced surface area to volume ratio, he's unlikely to deal with the heat and humidity of the tropics as well as a smaller person with a greater surface area to volume ratio.

A smaller guy is going to beable to run further, for longer, and take less time to 'cool down' than a big guy of equal health and vitality.

Ah, that would lead to a gradual evolutionary split in the species, as observed with Galapagos turtles, among others.

Generally though, size = strength, strength = more likely to survive. That was just my thought.
