As bad as this sounds, I have also done this. Perhaps if I hadn't tried American chocolate before this I would not have felt so strongly. Just as I was coming around to the fact they will be making it the same as they had done before, I read how one of their first acts as new owners was to shut down one of the big cadbury's factories, losing hundreds of jobs. Considering they made themselves out to be the 'saviours of these poor UK workers' it made me furious they had so flagrantly U-turned.Trebort said:I'm boycotting Cadbury's after it was taken over by a vile American company. Are you boycotting Butterkist popcorn and Fry's and Philadelphia and every single other subsidiary of Kraftbury too?Trebort said:I'm boycotting Cadbury's after it was taken over by a vile American company. I've not eaten or drunk a single Cadbury product.![]()

That's generally my reason for staying away.Oliver90909 said:As bad as this sounds, I have also done this. Perhaps if I hadn't tried American chocolate before this I would not have felt so strongly. Then the - quite frankly irritating - new adverts came out with some bizarre CGI slants on some of them that turns me off every time I see them.

Anyway....Long story short, yes. Boycott is perhaps too strong a word for a one-man protest, but I certainly would go along with what other posters have said: I vote with my wallet, and I certainly won't be voting Cadbury's again.
Well yes, their dubious business practice was a reason, and yes I do avoid the products you used as an example. Fry's products tent to give me migraines and butterkist popcorn is not very nice so I don't eat it. I also don't like philly.tomtom94 said:Are you boycotting Butterkist popcorn and Fry's and Philadelphia and every single other subsidiary of Kraftbury too?Trebort said:I'm boycotting Cadbury's after it was taken over by a vile American company. Seriously, it's just capitalism, I honestly can't understand why people got in a tizz about Cadbury being taken over.
(I can guess your answer is "questionable business practices"?)
OT: I boycott meat companies because I'm a vegetarian.
I read the Mail for giggle value, just dont take it seriously.Generic Gamer said:I boycotted the Daily Mail after their "article" on emos. I don't need that kind of shit investigation presented as truth.
