I don't really have any massive yerning hate for anything, so I have never boycotted. There is nothing I find overly immoral.

(Thinks about the hate of mankind thread)
...Because unfortunately, you can't boycott humans.

I'm boycotting Cadbury's after it was taken over by a vile American company. I've not eaten or drunk a single Cadbury product. :)
As bad as this sounds, I have also done this. Perhaps if I hadn't tried American chocolate before this I would not have felt so strongly. Just as I was coming around to the fact they will be making it the same as they had done before, I read how one of their first acts as new owners was to shut down one of the big cadbury's factories, losing hundreds of jobs. Considering they made themselves out to be the 'saviours of these poor UK workers' it made me furious they had so flagrantly U-turned.

Then the - quite frankly irritating - new adverts came out with some bizarre CGI slants on some of them that turns me off every time I see them.

/Rant

Anyway....Long story short, yes. Boycott is perhaps too strong a word for a one-man protest, but I certainly would go along with what other posters have said: I vote with my wallet, and I certainly won't be voting Cadbury's again.

I mostly avoid Coca-Cola because of their sketchy practices in India(You want a long rant? Ask me about that. Shit will blow your mind when you realize the depravity of it.)

I'm boycotting Activision for being shit, but I'm not sure if that's considered boycotting as much as being smart with your money...

Otherwise, I avoid going to large retail chains on principle. I'd say that I'm boycotting Wal Mart, which I haven't been in for several years, other than to raid their frozen foods and switch around pizza boxes so people get confused when trying to buy something... muhahahahha!

Oh, and being an original L4D player, I still haven't bought L4D2 after all the bullshit that came with that.

Are you boycotting Butterkist popcorn and Fry's and Philadelphia and every single other subsidiary of Kraftbury too?

Seriously, it's just capitalism, I honestly can't understand why people got in a tizz about Cadbury being taken over.

(I can guess your answer is "questionable business practices"?)

OT: I boycott meat companies because I'm a vegetarian.

I'm boycotting and always will be boycotting Nestle over their killing of African new-born babies. It's a popular boycott because it's a serious and disgusting issue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestle_boycott See? Even has it's own wiki page. It's a big deal and it's horrendous
I've been boycotting them now for about 3 years, ever since I found out about it

I have stopped watching TV until such time as it ceases to suck.

Also, I don't buy games with DRM.

Nope. One more or less person boycotting something won't make a difference, and I don't want to limit myself.

I boycott bottled water. It seems stupid to pay money for something I get out the tap for free, when that something is packaged in eco-unfriendly plastic and carted from France (or wherever) all the way up to Scotland in big diesel trucks.

I decided to boycott/stop drinking diet juice a few weeks ago. Not for any specific reason, I was just kinda bored and decided to stop doing something.

That's generally my reason for staying away.

Well yes, their dubious business practice was a reason, and yes I do avoid the products you used as an example. Fry's products tent to give me migraines and butterkist popcorn is not very nice so I don't eat it. I also don't like philly.

I boycotted the Daily Mail after their "article" on emos. I don't need that kind of shit investigation presented as truth.
I read the Mail for giggle value, just dont take it seriously.

It is either doom about how everything is going to hell in Britain or Diana.

Back to the point I have never really boycotted anything intentionally; I just didnt buy it because I didnt really want it.

I've never boycotted a product before, simply because of I find the concept hilarious. Boycotts and petitions rarely work because they are usually applied to ridiculously unimportant causes or the people don't actually know what a boycott is. When you boycott something, you boycott it because you don't like the manufacturer, but like the product.

So whenever you hear people saying, "I'm boycotting CoD and Halo!" they're actually attempting to get on two bandwagons at once. Fascinating, really.

I boycott anything that is labeled "organic". The foods are more unsafe than normal foods and need to be transported farther (i.e. more gas needs to be spent transporting them). I also boycott corn based ethanol. It really is just a waste of corn.

Yeah, go ahead and send me a message about it
