Do you Dream about Games?

If I've been playing something really intensly for a while, I'll usually dream about it. For about a week I played Persona 4 in my room about 3 hours each night before going to sleep, and I dreamt about it twice in that week.

I bet if I could remember my dreams a lot better I'd find a lot more references to games in them.

Occasionally but they mostly give me Headaches, Recently had a dream about customizing demons in SMT: Devil Survivor. Though I had a oddly creepy one about Donkey Kong make those hand turkey you make in pre-school with actual human hands.

Back when I was playing Brawl at least once a day, I had a couple dreams where I was actually playing Brawl. In one of them, I was playing as Marth against someone I don't remember in a stamina match, and I won by using Marth's counter move at the right moment. In another, I was Kirby and I was battling against Meta-Knight and someone else, but the stage was the basement of a local church that I've been to a few times.

I've also had a Zelda dream where I was surrounded by an endless horde of redeads and gibdos, and I took out several of them with a spin attack.

I tend to dream about my games when I get stuck on them. My most memorible one was when I was playing Baldurs Gate. I got stuck in a spot and dreamed every senerio, every movement, every die roll.

When I was around 5, I played DooM's first level. The Imp scared the shit out of me.

Anyway, a few nights later...I had a dream I still remember...

I was at my school, out at the front of it, soon to go inside. Everyone just vanished. Disappeared. I heard the groan sound the DooM zombies make and turned around. Nothing. I turned back around and there were around 50+ varied DooM enemies advancing on me. I woke up about to scream. Lucky I didn't.

I've come up with some pretty good creature combos in IC in my dreams.
They've never worked in practice though, clearly I have to play in my sleep too.

I don't normally dream about games but I do day dream about them like I image myself in a game scenario and see what happens. It turns out that I too get angre at Princess Peach being kidnapped all the time.

i dont generally dream about games but if i play a game too much i can see it any time i close my eye lids

I had one once about HL2 before I'd finished it, I was dreaming about what the final level on the citadel was like xD

Luckily it was mixed in with other (non game related) crap so I wasn't worried about any extreme levels of nerdiness.

So I ask fellow Escapists: Have games ever featured in your dreams? Were they accurate, or twisted? Do you have any idea why they featured?

I don't usually dream about games, most of my dreams are in movie form. But when I do dream of games, it's usually a combination of games.

The most vivid one I had was a couple of years ago when I dusted off the old N64 and played a couple of classics. I fell asleep and dreamt I was in a bite-sized Mario Kart 64 race, going through different rooms of a large house and dodging bosses from various games. The only boss I remember now is the first dragon boss of Gauntlet Legends.

Aw, man, I had some really fucked up dreams when I first got Silent Hill 3 all those years back and played it like crazy.

There was one where I was walking down a circle of stairs and it started getting progressively darker. As it got really dark there was blood all over the walls, steps, handlebars. I got scared so ran back up. When I reached the top the doors were locked. Then, I heard a banging noise like something was rushing up the stairs to get me. I woke up before I found out what it was though.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!! a lot of nights i have dreams about final fantasy VII, crash bandicoot, and the not so popular TOMBA! also more frequently the legend of zelda games

I just had a dream about Halo meets Half-Life.

Right after Halo 2 came out me and a friend played it quite a bit. One night I had a dream that I decided I didn't like working with him anymore, so I stabbed him with an energy sword, then I stuck a plasma grenade into the wound and ran away laughing. I told him the dream a couple days later and we both thought it was hilarious.

That's the only game based dream I remember...

and its sad because even my subconsciouses me is a nerd, i used to dream i was a millionaire or dreams of a more erotic nature, now i dream of finding all the secret places so that i will unlock the achievement.

when i first got my xbox and i would play gears of war everyday i would but since then i cannot remember any of my dream no matter how hard i try

If I've played that game very much for a short period of time, it happends that I have a dream with themes from that particular game.

Then I know it's time to stop....
