Life is so beautiful, and death must exist to create life, so how could it not be seen as beautiful too?

I ride a very fast motorcycle for fun. I've already had one friend die this year with the same hobby. I Almost wiped out badly a couple of weeks back. I just keep calm and carry on.

No, I'm not afraid of death. I'm not afraid of the method of my demise either.

Not at all. I've accomplished all my goals in life and would welcome death would come with no major regrets.

I like to think that death will mean I'm either brought back onto Earth to try again in a world surrounded by acts of good and evil (Hell), or that if I've lived a morally good life I'll move on to a better place (Heaven). But when it comes down to it, even if the afterlife is just my dead corpse rotting in the ground until it decays, I'm not at all bothered by the idea.

I am, however, very afraid of pain and the likely reality that death will be a slow and at times agonizing process. Maybe after all my dislocations and surgeries in life, the powers that be will let me die quickly. Here's hoping.

Anyone that doesn't fear death is kinda derp in a way; our instinctual processes coerce us to try to live as long as we possibly can after all.

That being said, I'm not really afraid of death, lol.
So I guess I'm kinda derp. :3

That's something that crosses my mind every now and again. Weirdly enough more curious than anything. I'm not in any hurry to find out, and in all liklihood I won't remember learning the answer (you know, being dead), but it does sort of make me wonder. What's next? I'm fairly certain it's nothing. But since I'm not going anywhere, I'm inclined to believe I'll simply end up being a part of something else.
I'm pretty ok with that honestly.

How come I'm the first one to use this?

OT: Not really. I hold comfort in the fact that nothing will probably become of me after death, and I don't have to think or remember any more. Like other people have said, it's the way that I go out that concerns me. Dying in my sleep? Fine. Going quickly and painlessly? All the better. Drowning? Bad. Being eaten by a giant spider? That's a terrifyng thought.

I don't fear death, but I do fear dying (Like most normal human beings).

knowing that after I die, there will only be an endless oblivion of nothingness, is both a comfort and a pressure for me.
It drives me to do something with my life before I die. I want to explore it as much as I can of the reality I find myself in , before I die. I wouldn't have such a drive if I believed I would exist forever. I procrastinate too easily already, I son't want a n excuse to procrastinate experiencing life

"Life" being a vague term, I'll apply it to childbirthing process up until the baby is literally outside of the vaginal canal: screaming, pain, distortion of bodily parts.

We are, however, throwing opinions at each other on what is "beautiful", so we'll never have a productive discussion about this, but the process, I am saying, of creating something beautiful, does not at all have to be beautiful also.

Not in the least. In fact, I barely even think about it. Since it's inevitable and there's not a damn thing I can do about it, I like to think about things I can actually control.

One day Death will catch me. I don't fear it, but I'm still going to keep running away because if I'm going to lose this race, I am at least going to lead that old bastard on a merry chase.

I do not fear death. I see it as just another adventure to be taken.

In my view, death is the one and only fair thing in life. No matter your wealth, status, gender or condition - everyone and everything on this planet will eventually die. You will not know when or where (unless you're suicidal, which means you've accepted death at that point) nor will you know exactly what you will die of, but you will die. It's sad, really, that so many people view death as "tragic". Sure, people have died "before their time" and I could list many such people - Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Hicks, Sam Kinison, Lenny Bruce, you get my drift - but this does not hinder the fact that death is an eventuality.

I know that I, too, will die and I may have things I have yet to be taken care of. However, if I make enough of a mark on this world to be remembered by just one person then I know I will never be truly dead in this existance.

Yet, as I see the world as it is - war, destruction and the continued defiling of our home, it makes me remember a lesson I learned at the end of a good video game. One that I played a long time ago...

Nope. Not in the slightest. Not that I'd like to die, just that being afraid of it leads to irrational bullshit that I really don't need.

Yeah, this. I know that when I die, it will be no different than what it was like before I was born. There will be nothing, and I will no nothing, much like simply going to sleep. Sleep isn't scary, so why is death?

But the dying, the dying itself is the hard part. I sure don't want to die, but I don't fear what comes after.

I'm not really concerned about what happens after, because I believe it's just nonexistence, so I won't be able to complain, but I'd like to do something meaningful before buggering off into the beyond.

I don't fear death. I actually can hardly wait to find out what happens in the afterlife. While I wont go out and kill myself I certainly wouldn't have a problem if it were for a decent cause.

Yes, i used to stress over the fact i may not wake up in the morning in my late teens, early 20's .. but at that stage of my life i had a lot of things going on in my life so i guess that kinda lead to the weird thoughts. These days it doesnt seem to nag at me as often but i still dont want to die i need to achieve a lot more before i can

First, I get scared about the PROCESS of dying; and even that is not really accurate. I'm not scared of it.. I just don't enjoy unnecessary pain. But I'm not scared of being dead; more frustrated that I can't comprehend the idea of simply not being. I believe in religion, to a large extent; but if that's not real - then how can one simply.. not exist? How can you possibly fathom the idea of.. of not fathoming any ideas? It hurts.

Tl;dr I progress from not enjoying the pain, to frustration at the idea of non-existence, to simple irritation at the prospect.
